By virtue of population size, a nation like China is always going to produce extreme outliers. Their weightlifting team is a great example of this.

No. Culture and genes are more important than mass. Just look at some african tribes, who regularly preform high jumps to impress women. The amount of talent would be impossible with your theory.

That's extremely impressive, but I still wanna point out that he doesn't start from a deadhang, and he only has about 90 degree elbow flexion. Both of these things make it so much easier. I wonder how much he could pull with very clean form.

That guy is stronger than 99.9999% of the human race. Btw I got a question for you. Mike mentzer once said dips are by far the best exercise for chest,delts and triceps, so you agree or disagree? See a lot of street lifters with big chest,delts and triceps, not sure if that’s just from weighted dips or also from accessories as well.
@AS-qj5eh3 ай бұрын
100% it’s weighted dips street lifters specialise in it and don’t do much accessories it has to be the dips

I'm not the guy you asking, but maybe it will help. I've achieved really good level on weighted dips, but my chest blowed up only after bench press. BUT it doesn't mean that bench is better for chest, becouse: Firstly it depends a lot of the person doing it. There's no best exercise for everyone. Some might get injured from dips and move to bench like me, for some it will be the other way around. And secondary it depends a lot of the technique. You can do dips with accent on your chest, or on your shoulders or even on your back
@William1683BT3 ай бұрын
@@bulat314 Yeah I’ve had some shoulder pain before doing weighted dips, I’d recommend moving to BW only Ring dips until the shoulder pain goes away if you can. Ring dips are a lot more comfortable on the shoulders than bar dips from my experience. Also I’ve never really felt dips in my traps even though a lot of people say they’re indirectly worked through weighted dips. I will say however I think dips are about even with bench when it comes to developing your chest muscles and I think weighted dips are better for triceps. I’ve taken out overhead extensions and tricep push downs and only done weighted dips and my triceps remained the same size. So in terms of compound lifts I think dips are the best tricep builder.
