i watched 夏洛特烦恼 in class and it was so funny!! some similar comedies in case anyone wants are 飞驰人生, 西虹市首富, 羞羞的铁拳 and 唐人街探案... a really good suspense film i recommend is 误杀 as well!! i'll have to check out these others ^_^

To Live (活着) by Zhang Yimou is a classic that tells the story of Maoist China. Warning though, it is quite sad

in my opinion, the best Chinese films are made in Hong Kong, theres very few films that are made in the Mainland that are as good, I especially like the films of Wong Kar Wai.
