I use ground arrowroot instead of cornstarch. It doesn't affect the taste, thickens the sauce in the same way, but gives you a clear sauce instead of cloudy.

Please put the recipe in the description! This looks wonderful, but in order to add it to my recipe file, I have to jot down notes from the video, pausing often, then type it up myself. I don't mind doing this, but there are so many cooking channels now that offer either 1) Instructions in the description, or, 2) A link to an off-site website with a printable recipe, that it can lead people to go to the next channel, and bypass yours! This looks SO good, so please offer us a way to print it out! =D - Sandra

Thanks for this. Since I'm really tryna eat healthier, imma make this, then add it to cooked vegetables and fresh slices of chicken breasts. Wish me luck

As crazy as it may sound to anyone who grew up on processed or junk foods, your body will help you crave whole, healthy foods from the first taste. Take your time when you prepare a meal, use your bare hands in contact with each ingredient when possible, and slowly smell each spice as you add it. Almost everything we know about nutrition is false or only a fragment of something much more complex. The thing is, you do not need to be a nutritionist to be healthy, and you don't even need to remember much at all or even think about it, bc our bodies know what they need without us having to do anything but sample a wide variety of foods. Whether we are aware of it or not, what we sample builds a database in our bodies, and when our cells require a certain nutrient or compound, you will crave the food that will provide it. Eating healthier is only hard when you do not know what I just told you, bc to approach it from a thinking strategy almost makes you crave the exact opposite of what you really need. When you work in cooperation with the true nature of your body's systems, your brain will adapt quickly and imprint it as a habit, then it becomes practically automatic. I wish you the best of luck with this, knowing it will improve everything about your life. Once you trust it as true, please share it as you see fit. Cheers!

The most important thing to do when eating healthier is to avoid added sugars as well Maybe add less vinegar and no sugar, just use the sugar naturally in the orange juice. I did that and it tasted good just less sweet

Um...YES!!! And THANK-YOU!!! Awesome recipe, had to substitute with corn flour (2 tbsp) and balsamic vinegar, freshly squeezed organic oranges, put in some pulp but it brought me back to the orange chicken my mother used to make.

Kinda looks like the Manchu wok orange chicken. I’m trying to make a copycat because it’s so delicious and this is perfect. I’m adding honey, substituting sriracha or sambal oelek with 1/2 tbsp chili flakes and using slurry instead of plain cornstarch and doing it in a pan.

Over zesting an orange gives a bitter taste as well. The white part is extremely bitter so it doesn’t take much.
