I am chinese - i usually eat pork 4-5 times a week depends on place and mood - i shower every morning since little - i have multicultural friends - i can converse in few local languages dialects and understand few other local languages - employer hire only chinese is because maybe 1) they know how chinese working attitude 2) most chinese employee knows how chinese employers want in their business 3) chinese employee doesn't clapped when get scolded by their chinese employers 4) due to business services strategies 5) if you're non chinese but can speak chinese your boss give an extra higher salary compared to other non chinese employees and are considered gems to his/her company. That's all

Finally WOB do Too Much Lah on Chinese in conjunction with The Year Of The Dragon after same video on Malays, Indians, and Koreans. I'm Kuching native but based in Klang Valley. Although some of it can be rather controversial, let me give some clarification on each stereotypes based on my opinions: 1:37 - Completely agree as Chinese quite emphasize on values of money. Chinese always finds ways to gain wealth for a better future whether it is from business, hard work, investment, even illegal means (don't get me wrong I'm not encourage it here) As for me I might not as successful as most Chinese businessman but I'm quite frugal with every ringgits I earned until the point I felt guilty and regret after huge spending. 3:31 - Agree as most Chinese food has pork, but not all Chinese ate pork everyday. Did you forgot those whom are vegetarian? Yes I love pork but not everyday, as I prefer different kinds meat every day. 5:16 - True especially for well off parents whom want their kids to have additional skills (piano, art, dance, taekwondo etc) But this still poses a problem for kids though as this might overburden them, already they had studies pressure unless the additional skills learned is their interest. In my case, my parents won't force me to takes up additional skills which I not interested on. 7:26 - Where you get that stereotypes from seriously? Body smell mostly triggered after long exposure under hot sun and humid climate, what is it got to do with certain races didn't shower in the morning? Even after morning shower, the humid climate will still makes our body sweat and smells unless he applied some perfume or deodorant. 9:14 - Depends on his background, some Chinese have chance to mingle with people of other races plus there are some Chinese mostly mixed with their own race, whether at school or socially. For my case, some may heavily dispute with me this but I come from Sarawak which is have far better race tolerance than other states, so we're already learned to mingle around with friends from other races beginning from school until society. Another points to share here not to offend anyone, I remember during my universities studies when I mixed around with Malays friends more most of my Chinese friends looking at me with a strange looks as this is rather unusual in their view. 10:49 - Most unfortunately as it will be easier for Chinese boss to communicate with their workers, but its still depends on the industry. It is more apparent when the firm had business with China and Taiwan where Mandarin speakers are desperately needed. Any non-Chinese whom can speaks Mandarin well please prove those Chinese bosses wrong.

😼 being another Kuchingite who’s based in Klang Valley, totally agree with you! especially on the 5th point

9:14 for this point, i think it depends on the friend circle, environment or how their parents educate their children. If they only be taught to only lepak with Chinese and not been exposed to other races since young age then they will have hard time to mingle with other races. I raised in KL and from SMK. Malay, Chinese, Indian in SMK has no problem to mingle with each other. When i got to SMK, there's also some of the Chinese from SJK(C) joined our SMK and can't speak Malay well at first but overtime they end up managed to speak Malay well eventually. That's why i think environment is the leading cause of this issue.

I work in a Chinese majority bank....when I joined the bank in 1990 my first manager told the staffs they can only talk in BM or BI in the bank... A great man he was.. Every one know what each of us talked about. Later on no manager followed.. Now the Chinese talk in their language and others are left out...🤬🤬🤬🤬

There is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't have a morning shower habit because 1) my family never have that kind of "routine" throughout my entire life 2) I sleep in air-cond room and I take a bath before I sleep every night. 3) I don't eat any spicy food AT ALL in my diet like curry/turmeric etc etc so I never have any body odour. So how much sweat would I get right after waking up under an air-cond with 23 degrees? Those who want or have the morning bath routine, go ahead. But should not judge or shame others because really....what gives u the right?

boleh nampak beza orang mandi dan tak mandi bila naik train pagi². tapi selalunya mmg Cina mandi, yang tak mandi ada juga tapi jarang. mungkin some dorang ni masih terikut² cara mcm dekat China sana kot. orang Korea dan Jepun pun bukan mandi pagi.
@manalittlesis8 ай бұрын
Pendek kata orang² yg berada dinegara yg ada musim sejuk. Bkn hanya orang China, Korea dan Jepun sj. Orang² eropah pun sama. Kalau suruh org asia tenggara pi dok kat negara yg suhunya dibawah 10°, rasanya mereka pun skip mandi pagi.

"Chinese people are money orientated". Never shy to say yes and it proves Chinese already foresee and prepared. Nowadays everything is about money. Also Chinese that migrated overseas mostly are from poor families. Which is why even a single cent means a lot to us. "Chinese people need to eat pork everyday" Nope. There's a big difference between needing to eat and loves to eat. So... I love to eat pork but I don't need to eat pork everyday. But to be honest, the best meat for me is 'siu yuk', crispy pork belly. Let me describe this way. I love beef rendang, lamb Rogan josh, vindaloo chicken and so on but I only eat those at lunch or dinner with rice. BUT for pork belly, I can eat it at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Eat it with rice or noodles or eat as it's own. It can be a snack when drinking beer. Also like the guy saying "pork is different, Malay don't know one", it's true. For example one time I saw a comment saying "Chinese char koay teow is overrated" by a Muslim. How can she say that when she never tried it? The best CKT is not only from wok hei but the pork lard too. "Chinese don't shower in the morning" Not really or it depends. Also I don't believe everyone regardless of race takes a bath when it's cold with cold water. For example when the weather are very hot and I get sweaty, I don't mind to shower even 4-5 times a day and if I just stay at home when the weather is cold, shower one time is fine to me. "Chinese people don't mingle with other races" But the question is back to the person who says that statement. Do you mingle with other races? If yes, sure you have a Chinese friend and that's the proof Chinese do mingle with other races. If you don't that means you don't mingle with other races. "Chinese people don't like to hire other races" Also it depends but it's not true. No need to look far, my boss is Chinese and the longest serving staff was Indian and Malay. So? Again the question also is (for example) will the Malay boss hire a Chinese as the cook for Malay food? No? Same thing right? I mean the Malay boss can hire a Chinese to cook but they prefer not because they are afraid their customers will not buy food from them. To me it's fine. If the Malay boss only want a Malay cook.just hire ONLY MALAY cook. Simple. Everyone got their right to choose. If not, then if your whole family is only one race, does it mean your whole family is racist? That's crazy right?
