HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

LickBro why are you broad bush china did this and that? It was the communism that set china back 50 years. China didn't invent communism. If you dig deep in history, it was European and Russian started communism. In fake stuffs, there are criminal element in every culture. Chinese isn't immune to the disease of communism and corruption.

There are many cities in Guangdong which are famous for their unique cuisine style and surely worthy of exploring. For example, Shunde(顺德), which is the origin place of the Cantonese Cuisine and many Cantonese chefs are from Shunde; Kaiping(开平) and Taishan(台山) have their unique cuisine style called Ng Yuk Choi(五邑菜), which is so different from the traditional Cantonese cuisine and their street food and snacks are also fantastic. Shantou(汕头) and Chaozhou(潮州)‘s cuisine is also unique compared to the Kwong Fu Choi(广府菜), you can taste tons of fresh seafood in these cities. Hope that you will have a great time in Guangdong!
@TamTam-yn3qh6 жыл бұрын
Speaking of street food, that reminds me of the ToiShan style waffle(爐底糍), which is the famous street food in Toishan(台山).

Can I just say before I started watching your vids... I really had a primitive "western" view of the Asian culture. The best thing about the videos isn't necessarily the food for me, but through the food I discover the culture and it's amazing. I have crazy amounts of respects for Asia, not everything is perfect but I honestly am impressed and I would love to go eventually. Keep it up Trevor

Sadly he's not even speaking the true native dialect. Breaks my heart seeing so many people in the Guanzhou region aren't speaking Cantonese. It disappoints me that he doesn't even seem to bother learning or speaking Cantonese. The lady selling the porridge was trying to speak Cantonese to you Trevor, but you just defaulted to Mandarin without even attempting Cantonese. You try speaking the native language like Spanish in Mexico and other countries. Please try speaking a little Cantonese. We're getting pushed out and disappearing.

HDsharp I’ve read that, but I’ve also read it was a myth. Don’t know which to believe. But it’s striking how the noodles with the pork, broad bean paste and chili oil looks so much like spaghetti al ragú. From afar, outside of China you’d think that was an Italian dish by just seeing it.
