Any chance you have a clever way of performing the Chinese Waitress Bind-Off, preferably with a Crochet hook, in the round seamlessly? I used your “Chinese Waitress Cast-On with a Crochet Hook” method to cast on a Top-Down Raglan Sweater for my French Bulldog. It created a beautiful braided rolled neckline that is wonderfully stretchy. I just finished the ribbing around the bottom that matches the neck, and realized you don’t have a tutorial or instructions on your website for the matching Bind-off in the round.

Great tutorial, Liat. I used this bind off for a cowl I cast on using the Chinese Waitress Cast On. Perfect match and so easy to do!

@@Knitfreedom I found two steps that can be omitted and have it look the same! Once I started knitting this BO I remembered learning it as Grandma's Favorite Bind Off as another Designer/Instructor calls it. Cat Bordhi, Instructor Extraordinaire, rest her soul, also taught this bind off.

Thank you for this! If I’m binding off in 2 x 2 ribbing, would I use this same bind off for all stitches?

Hi Nadine, Great question! You can use the exact directions for 2x2 ribbing, but it may not be as stretchy. For a more stretchy bind off you may want to try Judy's surprisingly stretchy bind-off: www.knitfreedom.com/blog/jssbo/
