watch this show once you have learnt all the vocab from hsk 1 to hsk 5, then it's a blast
@codyheiner36367 жыл бұрын
Yeah wish they would just not have those little cartoony lessons. Doesn't at all fit with the show.
@PsychosisFire6 жыл бұрын
By the time you've learnt all the vocab from HSK 5, you won't need to watch this show... I'm just about at HSK 3 right now, and I have to pause and rewind most sentences several times to fully understand them without reading the English or Hanzi.
@antoineweb16 жыл бұрын
I know all the vocab from hsk1 to HSK5, and this is really useful, actually they use vocab from even higher than hsk 5. But yes, it's useful for the oral part. the "real life" side that you don't always get in manuals

Casting aside the fact that Suzan comes off as dumb/annoying, this series is great for listening practice! I'm around an HSK3-4 level, so it's like the perfect level for me to be listening to. These shows are certainly entertaining with regard to how they portray Susan and how the family responds to her, which I think is the whole idea behind the series, lol. Like honestly, if I was them, Susan would annoy me to no end! LMAO!

It’s true that many white people who speak mandarin can’t use chopsticks‼️ My last year of high school I took a mandarin class and became such good friends with my 老师 that she invited me out to dinner with her highest-level Mandarin students who were also graduating. We ate at a Chinese restaurant, they gave us chopsticks, and to my shock not a single one of the high level white students knew how to use them. Just me and two other ethnically Chinese students. I’m white! I barely spoke mandarin and I still knew how to use them. Watching them struggle to pick up food while speaking advanced mandarin was sad. Aiya, why learn a language without learning the culture and customs too

wow, it's a fascinating channle, these sentences are veeery common in chnese daily talk, and the speed is little lower than normal,which is better to help your listening exercise. to be frankly, I know the feeling that you feel, lol, cuz I have been struggling to studying english, so I feel english is much complicated, too many vocabularies, grammar and the sentence pronunciation. but I am desperate to improve my english, may I ask is there anybody'd like to study with me? please kindly DM me, I could help you with your chinese, and I'd like to consult some quetsions to you when you are free, I definitely won't distubing you too much, I am stuying by myself most of time, but I am worry about my pronunciation.

Amazing work on this. Yes Susan's character is a little annoying. The script calls for her to be a typical American. Most the world perceives the average American as obnoxious and naive. I do not think the writers did all that bad a job though. Most my fellow Americans don't have the education I have, nor the gene pool.
