Chingy came to Scotland for the mtv Europe awards I remember standing in a massive crowd waiting to see all these stars. When he came out he got quickly put in his car and embarrassingly I started to cry. He got out his car, while his management saying no no go back in the car, came over gave me a hug gave me his autograph and was so nice to me. He was honestly just a such a nice guy. Watching this he seems like such a great guy! I still listen to Pulling me back it’s one of my fav songs!

That style of show is dead mainly because the music industry isn’t what is was. They had a formula of giving artists exposure before the internet blew up. Now, artist can drop and promo their own stuff, making a show like 106 irrelevant. You could drop a single on KZbin and get a few million clicks overnight, 106 was great for that time, but it just doesn’t have a place today.

I love how respectful and spiritually grown he is. Sure, Sydney was ruthless in wanting to achieve fame and popularity. But so was everyone else, who cancelled him in the wake of it. I hope nowadays, any association with a person of trans experience, even by merely taking a picture with them - because they too can be lovers of music -, will not lead to imminent career death. But I think this experience was necessary for him, for his spiritual growth, seeing the bigger picture and finding true independence form the requirements of the herd/masses. A lesson more valuable than 10 No.1 albums.
