Russ is a guy that is very careful with his words and when Pete Carroll intially retired, Russ flew to Seattle and celebrated with other former players for his retirement. I'm not saying that means he is going to the Raiders but I think it does say that Russ and Pete don't have any ill will towards each other. Personally, I think it's a no brainer that Pete will try to sign Russ to a contract with the Raiders. Pete will like the challenge of showing what Russ and he togeher can still accomplish. And Mr. SamoanRaider, thank you for bringing up Myles Garrett and starting some juice behind this possibility. I think what you are doing with your show could have some influence in a very good way. AOC ran a variant of Kelly's inside zone/spread offense at Purdue under Jeff Brohm. There are a lot of gap/power traps, counters, pin-pull to go with OZ and IZ calls. Agree we need a long-term starter that elevates the guys around him, but AOC put up big numbers in this offense. Milton makes the most sense, along with Mariota, but there are a number of FA QBs or possible trades for backups that would do well in this offense. Conceptually, its just a hybrid Shanahan/McVay/West Coast offense. They won't run much tempo at the pro level except in normal 2-minute or comeback-required situations.

Maybe with some very good QB coaching and a strengthening up of the Offensive line Oconell could probably play better while we can scout for a Quarterback that would really love to play for the Raiders with a passion and maybe get us to winning a super bowl. Because it just seems to me that we have been getting nothing but bad luck scouting and hiring all these sellout Quarterbacks that just want to get drafted or traded just to get paid and could give a crap about the Raiders team.
