Something about this build really struck home. My grandfather had a 1967 Dodge D100 that was almost the identical colour. I grew up in that pickup as I was born in 1968. Bravo.

I don't think Tonka toys ever used lead paint. If they had, the very stringent toy safety laws here in the UK, would have prevented their importation. I'm glad of that, as they were one of THE big toys of the 1960's and 70's. My brother and I had quite a few. Our dad was a civil engineer, and liked us playing with toy bulldozers, back actors, and face shovels. 👍👍👍

I kind of liked the look of the bare sand-blasted metal. Think the camper part would have looked good with a clear coat over that.

Great vid, but specifically, what kind of nozzle and media are you using? Seems like your nozzle setup has a wide girth to it's spread and the media is producing an incredibly smooth cut down to the metal. Impressed at those two values if you wouldn't mind sharing.
