I made this yesterday on my 22" BS. Came out great. I added salsa with beans and corn, homemade Pico de Gallo and rice. Ate some more for lunch today. Thanks for posting this video. Ron

Thanks mangopeel... I'm always careful with internal temps, don't want to get anyone sick. Love your channel name but I am highly allergic to Mango tree sap (like when you pick the mangos). I've heard mango trees are related to poison ivy. Have a great Sunday!!!

I made this yesturday! Spot on! I have one major question that no one has adked...how do you get just sauce out of that can? How do you scrape the peppers of the sauce? I just added a couple of the peppers. With what sauce I could get. It wasn't much.
@cookingwithbigcat2 жыл бұрын
I bought a can of chipotle peppers and just took the peppers out and used the sauce. Maybe you got something different. I used the Goya 7oz can of Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce. Hope this helps...
@jeffvolmer61522 жыл бұрын
@@cookingwithbigcat i used La Costena but when I pulled the peppers out they were holding pretty much all the sauce. I will try a different brand next time.

Is there any way to make this a little less spicy? I just made this and it was delicious! But you know, kids ... I thought it was spot on!
@cookingwithbigcat2 жыл бұрын
You can cut down on the amount of Chipotle Adobo sauce you put in. That is where the spice is coming from. You should be able to cut way back on it and still get the flavor with less spice. Also, you can add a little whole milk or sour cream to cut the heat. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!

Did you find a way to make is chewy too ?? Every time I go to that place my chicken is half tender, and half Rubber/tough which is a major thing I hate. So now I get the Carnitas instead. Super tender and flavored better imo

Is the chicken overcooked, the outside looks burnt.
@cookingwithbigcat2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tecno, not burnt at all. There was some sugar in the marinade from the Chipotle Pepper sauce that burns easily. So the outside looks burnt a little but the inside I checked with my internal temp thermometer and was just above 165 degrees. The "burnt" looking part actually gives it tremendous flavor and it was perfectly cooked. Hope you enjoyed!!

For some reason I have a hard time getting char on chicken
@cookingwithbigcat6 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The key is to make sure the griddle temp is pretty high (around 375) and don't turn it too much. Also, any seasoning salt or marinade with sugar in it will get it real dark looking. Hope this helps.
