Outstanding skill in the chipping technique. This type of artistry is difficult to master. I would like to see this in slow motion, about half speed. Great stuff Mig, like your work.

Hi, so impressed with the products, i`ve opened an account and filled my cart and i`m just waiting for the pennies now! On this demo are you painting directly onto white plastic? (like many gundam builders do) or have you coated with white paint first? I`m building a custom/scratch built project at the moment and want it to be white and weathered but will have to paint it with a white base as many of the parts are none white and i`m just wondering if the effects will work as well on a white paint too. Thanks

I'm using the techniques here and in the In Combat, Painting Mechas book to up my game on my Gunpla models!
@mohnjadden78417 жыл бұрын
I'm on the fence about buying that book. It seems like it'd be good to have a physical reference to keep by the workbench, but I worry that it's just a fixed set of techniques. Does it at least go into how the techniques it describes can be used across different colors/scenarios/environments, especially weathering?

That was pretty good promotion on the chipping. What size brush was used for the effects? Also,was the paint thinned in the paint tray?
@AMMOofMIGJIMENEZ8 жыл бұрын
It is a really fine one, 00 or similar. You can use the Ammo paint directly form the bottle with pencil and airbrush, it isn't necessary to thin the paint down. Hi, can anyone direct me to where I can find tutorials on how to achieve the "grey" weathering as shown in the model of the video? What I mean is the subtle grey edges on the white parts. Can they be achieved without using airbrush? Thanks.

People overdue weathering. Especially rust. Any military force would not let their equipment rust out like that. Battle damage, oil stains, dirt and paint scuffs are always repaired. These gundam modelers are watching aliens and Star Wars too much.
