Now I remember, this was the episode where they got from Hollywood to the port at San Pedro in an impossibly short time even for police running code on motorcycles.

You would think that during the entire season, just once they would fix that squeaking brake problem on those bikes.

It's a shame the Valley Car Wash changed their signage, but the original even in 1979 was just starting into a long period where it looked very dated (as retro-cool as it would look now). I'm surprised that 2405 Glendower's then-owners didn't insist on the address sign coming down for filming. Maybe it was between owners - I suppose the first thing a location scout does when the script calls for a private residence is call around to realtors.

I never noticed the address sign at first, which blended in very well with its surroundings, It definitely took a second glance. I'm glad it's still up there.

Finding and securing the locations for filming each episode must have been a challenging endeavor because it was all on location not on a backlot
