Chisos boots No.2 and No.5

Chisos is a newcomer to the Western/Cowboy boot segment and are not playing any games. Kicking ass and taking names. Chisos has changed the game with their subtle but very intentional difference in boot construction and business model. This is a brand that I for one would like to see stick around and grow to something beautiful. Will and Kate are doing Texas and the rest of the boot community right.

Love my chisos boots, very durable and tough. My only wish is that they had a taller shaft with a more of a riding heel and stronger heel cap.

Thanks for the video, lots of great information. I like a cowboy cut and longer length jeans with my cowboy boots. Your jeans ride up pretty high when you sit down, and they get hung up on the shaft of the boot, so your jeans stack around your knees. I personally like to avoid this, I feel it looks funny. (Just an observation)

That snip toe is magnificent. Very informative review. Simplicity with form follows function is easy to say but hard to get right without introducing an overwhelming ‘industrial’ style.

You're right about Western boots requiring confidence to wear! Actually, they are a great way to learn to project both confidence and charisma. They are only comfortable if you walk that way - these are sturdy, pure leather, heavy duty, go-to for years footwear.

Hey brother from Pennsylvania I'm from Pennsylvania I'm highly into western boots I have Lucchesi I have two pair of TECOVAS three pair of Yeehaw western cowboy boots Dan Post Cody James in 45 pair of Harley-Davidson I should do a video on all mine and now I have a pair coming I just ordered on Thursday from the Republic Boot Company I started checking INTO CHISOS BOOTS I am thinking about the rough cut leather tan I think it's number five I like that style of boot nice to run across your Channel I have a channel but it goes a different way it goes into repairing mowers and not even repairing but the upkeeping maintenance😊😊 like your video and how you do the description of the boots

Well truth be told I actually work in a small engine shop we are a Stihl dealer and we also repair and sell mowers and all sorts of lawn care equipment. Small world brother! One company I haven’t had the opportunity to share yet is Capitan boots. Incredible quality and I think they just raised some of their prices but I got my last pair from them for about $176 shipped. Look them up for sure!

the n 5 should look good with black jeans and a suede or leather jacket, even a sweater (turtle necks and shawl necks are very versatile with cowboy boots)

I’ve bought many Frye boots but I’m done with them. The boots are no longer quality like they used to be. I’ve had a pair of Tony Lama boots for about 20 years. Hello there, great video. I also have a couple pair of the #2 chisos and was thinking about getting the #5 boots like you did. Did you get the exact same size in the #5 given the toe is much more pointed compared to the medium square toe in the #2 boots?

The Chisos No.2's now belong to a good friend of mine and I've sold the No 5's. They are of good quality for sure. Long term I continue to lean towards the hard leather insoles and nothing else.

I would recommend Chisos over Tecovas for work yes. The leather sole is thicker, leather heel counter, and the removable insole puts them light years ahead of any other boot brand that slaps a removable insole in their boots to hide the cheap build quality.

@@NoblemansXchange Yeah that's where I saw it. It looked like a relatively thin layer of veg tan backed up with one or two layers of celastic. And also there is a cardboard layer in the soling. For my money, Rios of Mercedes is a better built boot at around the same price point.

@@WesternRAM sweet! I strongly recommend trying them on on carpet first so you don't damage the leather soles. I am actually wearing mine at the moment. Also note that the toe box will stretch a little to conform to your toes. Checkout the Face book group "Chisos Community" you will find tons of helpful info from other member and Will himself.

Its not suede, it's roughcut. Much different and way more durable!
