Chivas Regal 18 is amazing value for money. While it’s not as good as Glenffidich 18. The price is really great. Here in Canada, Glenffidich 18 cost $185 after taxes and Chivas Regal 18 is only $130. So, in terms of value, this is great.

Definitely one of my favourite whiskies. It just sucks that like a year or two ago it was only $100. Prices are jumping like crazy.

You mention that the 'industrial grain whisky' added to these blended whisky's have very little flavour but I note that yu can buy some 100% grain whisky's that, to my palet, have quite a lot of flavour. Haig Clubman single grain whisky for example?.

There are other really good grain whiskies too. Try Cameronbridge 13 yo or Inchdairnie RyeLaw Fife Single Grain. Industrially produced grain cannot be compared to high quality grain whiskies.

I have tasted the 12 year old but it was a very very long time ago, i do remember though that i liked it, its is a good one although not one of my favourites, so i wonder how does this one taste?

Both are great expressions! But if you have to choose, between Chivas Regal 18 year old and Glenfiddich 15 year old, we would recommend the Glenfiddich 15 y.o. It is cheaper and has a great character with nice sherry influences.

Thank you for your insight. I am now between the glenfiddich 15 and the glenallachie 12! They are both the same price in South Africa where I live and I’ve seen very good reviews of the glenallachie 12. Any thoughts on this? I appreciate your channel. I am very new to whiskey and I am currently putting together a gift for my partners birthday.

@@elmushaw2367 yes, blue label is just a good sipping whisky that almost everyone will have no difficulties due to its smoothness. Green label is better for those looking for more complexity

I was Really disapointed with this whisky after opening bottle a few times the whisky turned like acid i nearly choked on it.
