Thank you for your voice Chloe. It was hard for me not to get emotional. When my daughter was about 14 she briefly considered nonbinary, although it started years earlier in Northern California. We were in Texas in 2013. CPS was involved. I sat with my daughter in a counseling session. I felt attacked, but more importantly I was afraid for my daughter. In that meeting I said I loved my daughter. I spoke directly to her. But I wasn’t going to accept a defective understanding of what men and women are. And even if my daughter disagreed, I told her she would always be my daughter, and I will always love her. But I was not going to embrace the lie of nonbinary. There were tears and apologies afterward, from both of us. Fortunately, she now affirms that she is a woman. God is still restoring her. And he’s still restoring me. And you too. I felt the exact same way Chloe did at her age, I was always felt so out of place when I was around other girls. I was rougher, hated pink and dresses, preferred to wear guy clothing because it was looser and much more comfortable.. I started to question myself, but now I’ve come to realize and accept not all girls have to like and wear the same thing to be a girl!! You can wear anything under the sun and still be YOU. You can be a male and still love knitting, baking, anything else considered “feminine”, because it’s who YOU are. We’re way too worried about what our interests and preferences say or how they represent us, or make us feel alienated. Please learn to love and accept yourself before you make any life-altering decisions because media and small-world peers don’t make you feel comfortable with yourself. I come from a completely different set of experiences than Chloe, but I find it interesting where Chloe talks about the pushback she got from talking about her experience where other trans people said that going into details about the surgery etc would harm the community. I used to be in a cult and was kicked out about 10 years ago when I started having doubts and decided I wanted to find out about life on my own terms. The cult leaders make the same argument; they do not want 'unsanctioned' information about the experiences within the cult being revealed to large audiences outside of the cult, whether that be from people who have left OR even people who are fully members (the overwhelming majority of members comply) . While I was in the cult, I obeyed, even though the rule confused me, but it was only after leaving that I realized how pernicious of a restriction that really is, even if it wasn't intended to be pernicious. It's essentially hiding the truth from the general public by either silencing members, or demonizing and discrediting ex-members; because the cult feared there would be a negative public reaction to specific elements of unsanctioned stories. It is kind of a persecution complex. That's likely what what happening to Chloe with the pushback; an unwillingness to let the general public see the whole spectrum.

I know a lot of women who fell into disordered eating patterns during the transition from childhood to puberty because they struggled to accept their new female identity. I was one of them. I felt the need to starve myself just so I wouldn't grow hips and boobs or get periods because I wasn't ready to grow up. I preferred "boy interests" and was a tomboy, and couldn't accept that I was growing into an adult woman. However, I grew out of it, and now I'm so happy to be a woman and am so excited to be planning on having children in the near future. I love all of my curves and embrace my body for how naturally beautiful and feminine it is. It shocks me that we're supposed to fully celebrate childhood transition, when I can only look back and see how self-destructive myself and so many others were at that age. If I was part of the younger generation now, I would definitely be looking into transitioning for all the same reasons I developed anorexia. The fact I could have made myself infertile chills me to my core.

Thank you for sharing your story!! You are a brave, strong and beautiful woman!!! I'm really sad and disturbed at what's happened to our medical society, they used to take an oath of "Do No Harm"!!! What happened???

@Li6631 thank you for you kind words... there's not much about me, except I am greatly Loved by my Heavenly Father, and I want others to know they're Loved too! May His Peace be with you!

@Li6631 With my Heavenly Father, I am never alone. "... for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Heb. 13:5 I try to be humble too, but no one has Humility like Jesus, His Only Son. I'm glad to hear others think it matters too. He has promise, that as we dwell in Him, we will bear the "fruits' of the Holy Spirit: - Love - Joy - Peace - Longsuffering - Gentleness - Goodness - Faith - Meekness - Temperance... (Gal 5:22,23) Sleep well tonight my friend!

@Li6631 Talking here is fine.... I'm just retired with my beautiful wife; We have many children and grandchildren.... with a cute little home. We've had difficult times, and true to His Word, He has always been there with us! "For I the LORD God will hold your right hand saying unto thee; Fear not I will Help you! " Is. 41:13 He will hold your hand too, you can trust Him!

When I was a kid i had some thoughts about my gender. That was in the 80's. My Parents simply said Damien there is nothing wrong with having questions. You are a boy and your sister is a girl. That was all that I needed. Cleared things up and then went outside and played baseball with my Father and neighbours. I appreciate that I had sane parents who set me straight on what is what and who is who.

Her upbringing was exactly like mine and i got over that what if because i appreciated that all my relationships and opportunities in life were because i was who i was, a unique individual. So sad that personality traits are confused for gender dysphoria

I’m actually having a baby soon. And while I’m excited for it I also watch these videos and I’m encouraged and slightly scared of how I can protect them for being pulled into this horror. I’m so glad your speaking up! Those who are scared to speak up because they feel shame for the choices they made or someone else made for them. When my child is old enough I may show them these kinds of videos so they are aware of the other side of this and aren’t fooled by the fake happiness the left portrays with this choice. I hope and pray you continue to get better! Nothing but proud of how far you’ve come!

I want to ask you something. What do you think would be worse? A cis kid wrongly believing their trans and only working that out after medically transitioning and therefore having permanently impacted their own life; or a trans kid correctly knowing their trans, but being prevented from transitioning by people who believe it's just a phase, permanently impacting their life? To me, the latter is absolutely worse than the former. One at least has the agency to decide what to do with their life, they only have to live with the consequences of *their own* decisions, not the decisions other people forced upon them. The fact is, the vast majority of people who transition, don't regret it. Chloe is a real, but tiny minority of cases, and the fact is she's just going through the same thing that PragerU and their ilk want *every* trans kid to go through.

Chloe Cole, you are such a brave woman!!!... I wish you love, happiness and I also want to thank you for speaking out. Our society is getting lost and some practitioners (so called "specialists") are doing the most important damage. But there is HOPE, thanks to brave people like you.

Thank you Chloe, we need more brave people like you, who can actually speak from experience. They try and shut us down by calling us Homophobic etc and they tried to silence you as well. I have no doubt in the future most of the medical profession involved in this will be spending most of their time in court, as they swore an oath to do no harm and it's coming, it just needs another brave person to do it, money is the only language they understand. 😊

so appreciate your thoughtful introspection and the sharing of your story. as the parent of a young woman on the spectrum, i know it is IMPERATIVE for parents to look at gender dysmorphia as a SYPTOM, not as the problem. many many on the spectrum are trans. hmmm.... shame on the govt and medical professionals for what amounts to socio-political and medical EXPERIMENTATION! keep speaking up. xo

The loss of the tomboy is probably the biggest societal problem because not all women are these hyper-girly women the media wants to portray them as.

It doesn't sound like Chole truly had gender dysphoria. It seems more like she just didn't want to face all the things women go through in the course of their lives....especially physically {puberty, menstruation, breast formation, menopause, etc}. But she was obviously heavily influenced by social media and I also think the pressure to "find" oneself in terms of gender. Thank you Chloe for speaking out. I'm sorry you went through what you did, but you are courageous to come out and educate other children who are gender confused.

This is one of the largest results of removing embarrassment, modesty, repercussions, and honesty from young peoples lives. Because failure, mistakes, and regret all eventually comes from us all. The question is? How far do you go down a path of destruction before that path comes back to bite you. Every doctor and therapist who lied to this girl instead of being honest. Should be sued and have there license revoked so that they can't inflict this type of damage on another person again. It's taking the trust and respect of your field and using it in the most abusive way possible to support a lie that will never be true.

I have never questioned my sexuality but questioned my future and who I was until after leaving home. Finally, at 23 I figured out my personal and vocational identity. In my teens and early 20’s (in retrospect) I was depressed and made many decisions that I regret. I think that permanent surgical changes should not be made prior to age 18. And I think that professionals “embracing” gender change should be gently questioning why individuals want to change. Open discussion is critical to identify all the reasons one wants to transition.

It shouldn’t even be legal for a 12 yr old to get to decide this ! Thier brain isn’t even fully developed until 25 and they can decide to change to a different sex ?? This is a very eye opening video Especially hearing how social media played such a big role in this decision! Very sad Parents feeling pressured as well

She's autistic, autistic people often have a non binary approach to things that do not line up with traditio0nal male/female ascribed gender roles, this was never about being trans, everyone failed her, but that has nothing to do with transiting in general.
