$67k for a 2024 TRD PRO; is insane. There are full sized trucks and other cars you can buy with that money. In fact, it would make sense if you wanted a Tacoma to buy a 2024 TRD Off Road and invested the remaining balance.

These trucks are amazing, your content is always good. The prices on these vehicles are insane...seems we are heading towards the auto industry wanting 15-30 year mortgages on vehicles now. The only way "normal" people could afford these is with ridiculously long loans. On an actual vehicle performance note, that raised air intake is totally on the wrong trim...I saw 0 dust kicked up while you drove the Trailhunter, but holy dust while you were in the TRD Pro...really can taken advantage of the intake on faster, desert trails.

Love both trucks but the monthly payments + APR%, hard to pallet that😮. The only advantage from the 3rd to 4th Gen that I’ve experienced is the upgrade of the 8-speed transmission and maybe a few bells and whistles of the overall truck platform but other than that, the 4 banger turbo’s mid to high range is nothing to brag about in my humble opinion. I was building on their website today and I built a fully loaded TRD Offroad Premium and a Trailhunter fully loaded with everything I could possibly want. The difference was $5k. To me, that's not much, considering if I went and tried to get each individual part the Trailhunter has that the TRD Offroad Premium does not, it would cost well over $5k. I think people get caught up in the price of the truck but they don't realize it's not just the truck they're getting. There is a lot done aftermarket-wise straight from the factory that accounts for that money. High mount air intake (usually $500-700), 3 different steel skid plates (this can cost over $1k by itself), rock sliders (frequently cost about $1k), ARB steel bumpers (Usually a little over $1k), premium OME suspension (Usually over $1k) , premium Rigid lighting (Can also be about $1k if not more) , and I'm pretty sure the sport bar on the back of the trailhunter comes standard too so that could be anywhere from $300-700. Suddenly, that 5k difference doesn't seem so bad. The real question is why they let the TRD Offroad Premium get so expensive despite having none of the things I just mentioned. I could see being upset about the price of the trailhunter if it wasn't so close to what the TRD Offroad Premium goes for but the TRD Offroad Premium doesn't give nearly as much.
@guentherwilke2055

If this Hybrid Engine Option is made available on the TRD PRERUNNER (The Trim that's only available in a Supercab/XtraCab), it would be the best-selling trim for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Alas, it's only available on the TRD Sport at Minimum, which makes this is a Hard Sell at the moment. I would honestly consider trading up from a '23 SR5 V6 4x4 IF they make this engine available in the TRD Prerunner Trim... Love the videos, Chloe, and as far as the vehicles themselves, they’re cool. I do have reservations re: the 4cyl turbo, but…most of us do. And most of us believe that if there are problems, Toyota will iron them out. HOWEVER…for a couple vehicles that will be made in the quality-deficient Mexico plants, these vehicles are disgustingly overpriced. I’m not using hyperbole, I don’t think…I mean it. It’s a disgusting, sad, pathetic, unwise slap on their customers faces. I’m not saying this because I’m bitter, that I want one but can’t afford it. I have $130k cash ready to purchase a vehicle, and I’ve just been waiting to see what Toyota was going to do with the tacos & the 4Runner. So I could buy two of whichever I’d like and not be hurting. It’s about PRINCIPLE. These prices are a joke. I’d GLADLY buy a Colorado ZR2 before even thinking seriously about one of these two top offerings from Toyota. I think your excitement over the truck is warranted. I get it. But I don’t think the excitement necessarily is an endorsement in the price. I’ll be purchasing a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro next month. It may be one of the last great Toyotas for a while.

Best Tacoma to buy? Which years? I'm a cheapo but I also see that you get what you pay for. Used high mileage Toyotas are also expensive, you can't win. Are there any years to avoid? $70,000 is a no go but I'd look at new.

Which is not a truck frame based legit truck but a unibody car based vehicle with a truck shell. You would never see someone doing off-road in like this in a Ridgeline 👊

I'd love to buy one, but at 63k + dealer add-ons, taxes, and interest it'd be over $1200/month to finance. Who can afford that?? (I'll tell you, only the top 8% of the US population if going off the 12.5% of income affordability)

If you read through the comments seventy-five percent of the viewers can afford it, that that comes on this channel. No way I will pay that much for any truck. (Unless I hit the LoTTo) I guess she's tired of hearing people on her channel saying how the new 4 cylinder Tacoma sucks compared to the old reliable V6 motor. Or people saying they are keeping their *2023* and earlier model Tacomas . What was Toyota thinking ? Going *_"Backwards"_* with less towing capacity ? 🤷🏼‍♀️ ❓️

Tacoma sales down 60% since they changed over. Maybe they’ll start re-thinking things. If I wanted a hybrid I’d buy a Camry.

Chloe is selling me the seats. TFL was not showing their capability only that they negatively affected back seat room. If you buy this truck you really don’t care about the rear seat much less the leg room. Great job showing more the performance aspects of the truck

As a current 2021 TRD Pro owner along with many of my friends who own one, we care about rear seat room and leg room. It's not about the fact that it's somewhat tight, it's the fact that it's so tight I can't even use the seats in a pinch to fit a child seat in the back or haul people that aren't sub 5 feet tall. It's a truck at the end of the day and I need it to perform truck duties not "look at my insane isodynamic seats" that my suspension isn't even good enough to exploit to the full potential. If I were to buy a truck solely for 100% offroading to actually utilize any type of specifically built seat I wouldn't be looking at a TRD, i'd be looking at a Raptor. Furthermore, a few reviewers already stated these seats seem to be meh compared to what Toyota has been advertising them as. So i'm not sure if your opinion is based on your ownership experience or just speculation.

I treat my 2018 Tacoma like a car. I need rear leg room for my passengers. The four wheel drive and the height from the ground are great in the winter. 🥶

Nice trucks… but the value proposition is lost. Any midsize in the $60K to $70K is ridiculous. With 10% down you’re looking at minimum a $1200 a month payment. Common.
