1:23 Elephant Sands was really quite a special accom, but the watering hole also highlighted the ongoing water drought that Botswana is facing. Our guide Richie were sharing with us that Botswana had so many elephants that the government tried to gift 10,000 elephants to Germany, to ensure their survival. @6:23 we originally wanted to skip the bush walk because the gathering time was really early, until the "we are already here might as well" mindset kicked in. Glad we didn't skip it. The elephant remains were sad to see but it was nature's reality showcase. @10:19 not gonna lie. Mr P had a better experience last round as he was on the smaller boat, and caught a real life action croc-chase-caught-bird in the river channel. Being on a larger boat this time, things were a little more uneventful and with a more boisterous crowd, but cruising down Chobe River with Jelly was a memory in itself. @14:26 Chobe Nat Park didn't disappoint. For a morning game drive, we had a very good time with the lions. Our driver/ guide was very knowledgeable in sharing the animal behaviours, which added to the whole experience. Adding on the activities to do in Botswana, camping out wild in Khwai was also quite the highlight. Botswana is truly special🇧🇼. Next up, Victoria Falls!

Hi Jelly and Mr P, 10:00 I recall a certain song about an elephant who went out to play and lo and behold there is really a humongous spider web! 🕸 Thanks for the sharing tips on what do in Botswana.

Hi Toby! Haha, the spider web was really huge and complicatedly wrapped around the plant. We saw a couple of insects stuck on the web when we were there - guess the spider is gonna have a feast. 😬

Very informative video Jelly and Mr P. Is it true that African elephants are more aggressive than Asian elephants?
@oheyjelly2 ай бұрын
Hey Gordon, thanks for watching our vlog as always! I've been working on improving my storytelling over the last few vlogs - do let me know how I'm doing? 😆 I think African elephants tend to be a bit more "expressive" and playful in their behaviours, which can be interpreted as aggression when compared to their milder Asian cousins. Also, I read somewhere that African elephants (esp. wild ones) have complex hierarchical systems...But I'm no expert on elephants hahaha. 🤭Maybe just be respectful and veer on the side of caution when in the presence of wildlife - my mantra has been "wildlife has the right of way".😁
