i make this the same with the maple syrup. it’s expensive but it’s tastes so awesome. to the sugar syrup mixture i also add some cinamon, vanilla, i use makers mark in mine. i also add about two tablespoons of molasses and about a teaspoon of sea salt. it tastes savory and super sweet with the egg. awww man. my mouth is watering thinking about it.

Glad to see Bob Jacko is using a fill light. made a difference. Chaplin looks better- he has personality and a special honesty some of the "perfectionists' in this business lack. I was trained in Europe and some of those teachers of French cuisine had their noses so high in the air I was surprised they could breathe. Nice homey show with conviction and family friendliness. great tips and secrets too.

1/8th of a stick of butter...haha

It was a full stick right?

This is what confused me too. Does he think a stick is an entire box of butter?
@dkingpin74 Жыл бұрын
@@HealthHorrorf I cube a half stick I get about what he has. I also looked at other recipes and half a stick seems the norm. Also, 1/2 cup of butter is 1/8th of a pound of butter. Remember, he also said he was adding brandy and meant bourbon. 😊
@11bravo80Ай бұрын
Half of cup of syrup haha😅😅😅
@fatdogtavern2 жыл бұрын
Looks like a lot more than 1/8th of a stick of butter, aka one tablespoon.
@dkingpin74 Жыл бұрын
I looked into this and it seems he meant an 8th of a lb of butter or 1/2 cup. Looks to be accurate by comparing other recipes online. It also looks to be what I get when I cube half a stick of butter.

A pee-can is something your great granddaddy kept under the bed to keep from gettin' snake bit going to the outhouse in the middle of the night... 😜 You cook the pie till its done 🤣 Pecan pie takes 45-75 minutes. Start checking @40mins. When it stops jigglin' it's done.
