Bonita, may I ask why baking soda and not baking powder and what activates the baking soda, please? Hi Lizzie for the late reply, I thought I would spoil Raymond yesterday and keeping the day for him. I'm so glad you enjoyed our new recipe we posted this week. Baking soda and baking powder pretty much works the same way and they can work good together. But I like when I'm making chocolate chip cookies or the cookie base using baking soda to make them soft not crunchy. I hope you enjoy this recipe and thank you for the question. :) Bonita
