This Chocolate Sheet Cake has a rich chocolate flavor with a wonderfully soft and moist texture. It is very good on its own, but I really like it with a smooth and creamy Chocolate Frosting. While optional, you can garnish the top of the cake with chocolate sprinkles, candy sprinkles, chopped nuts, or grated chocolate.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for a great recipe. I’m due my next chemo session next Thursday and I like bringing something for the wonderful nurses and was trying to decide what to bring next week and this is perfect, especially being able to bake it a day or two beforehand. With it looking relatively effortless I should have enough energy to do this. Brilliant tutorial as usual.

You're the best, Stephanie. You have a very nice personality. Just as you say that this cake after being refrigerated the frosting can harden and give that truffle-like characteristic. I think I would agree with you, only because I made your chocolate cupcakes and I refrigerated the leftover ones and they were like a truffle!! They were great!! This chocolate sheet cake is amazing and making me drool. Because there is only two of us I would like to pour it into cupcake papers and freeze the extra cupcakes. If I Added a few chocolate chips would the cake hold up well. Carey

Thank you so much for giving the ingredients in grams! I love using my kitchen scale for measuring. I have recorded the empty weight of all my mixing containers/vessels and it makes things so easy and easier clean up, not having to use measuring cups/spoons etc I learned this from my German mother who always weighed everything.

I've made this cake 3 times now but used boiled brown sugar icing. My new favourite chocolate cake recipe. Your detailed instructions make following the recipes very easy. Love that you show how the mix should look after each step. I plan to try many more of your recipes.

I'm Norwegian. Intresting to see this as we usaly bar cakes like this. We call it "quick lunch cake" or "long pan cake." And put "butter cream" on top. Usaly just powdered sugar, butter, egg, melted chocolate, and a tsp strong coffee! I'll be trying this one!
