So in brief: Megaman is a zoner and an anti-zoner at the same time, he’s strong against other zoners but struggles against rushdowns. Use his lemons to pester your enemy, they’ll hate you for it tho. Use specials to attack from full screen. Arials to chase your opponent. Smashes to punish and never forget that his up tilt kills. Is that an accurate summary?

I'm glad to hear that the Crash Bomber actually has a use, I thought it was practically a special to never be used because opponents can easily just shield the bomb effect. For some reason, I didn't think of using it to bait out shield and grab 'em. I also didn't know that you could use it for ledge guarding.

0:40 there’s a few things wrong with that though. The MegaMan originally called rock man was not given his name because of the rock ‘n’ roll thing it was actually because of the rock paper scissors nature of the game. There was also consideration given to calling him rainbow man because of the color change he went through every time he switched abilities. And truthfully Capcom didn’t have faith in the mega man series. Because the first one did poorly, they would have just shelved the idea and that would’ve been it. The only reason there was ever a sequel was because The programmers liked the first one and wanted to have a second chance of the sequel. they were given the go ahead, but only under the condition that it only be done on their spare time. It was only with the success of MegaMan 2 that Capcom started truly seeing its potential as a franchise.

Problem is that the meta is so sword based so mega man a character who needs either be in your face or keep you distanced can’t deal with characters like Roy and Chrom that can swiftly ledge pressure you. His forward smash is also really good for catching ledge get ups, if you time it you can hit jumps, normal get ups, get up attacks, and rolls. Thanks to its range and hitbox it also hits opponents ON ledge

I've been maining my childhood hero since smash 4. And he's super easy to use, I'm good. But not that good. My cousin says I'm not using megaman's full potential. And i should work on my air recover when I'm thrown off the stage. Combos are good but need practice more.
