Edit: I know people are saying that these games are not remakes, and yes, you are correct. They are both unique games in their own right. To answer your DQ-related question: -Overture is the serie's main theme, you'll hear it everywhere. -While it is an original Monsters game, it's not the first (although the last one to come out in Europe did so 13 years ago on the DS), but it seems to be set on IV's world. -The main character is Psaro, and the character at the last scene is Solo, IV's protagonist (aka one of the Smash people). By all means, check the game out. Monsters is amazing and so much more than just DQ x Pokémon.

I got goosebumps with the Mario RPG reveal. And they did a great job with this remake, recreating the game into 3D while maintaining the artstyle. I think I realize now what happened, the game was made using 3D rendering software and then exported as 2D sprites, that's why the remake looks seamless and fantastic.

Rival companies are always cool Its due to things like those that we got games such as Capcom Vs SNK 2, which is one of my favourites fighting games like, ever (For the ones unfamiliar with the fgc, Capcom has Ryu, like, THE fighting game character. They literally created combos. SNK has characters like Terry and Iori, not to mention that i believe they created the concept of supers.)

As a fan on monster taming turn based combat rpgs I'd love to see Choc play Monster Hunter Stories, and by extension the sequel game, so him saying that he's interested in Dragon Quest Monsters gives me a little bit of hope that he might play both series of games.

Decent direct overall with variety for most people. Also If you want to do Pikman or Metal Gear, I think most of us would be down for that. Just remember, play what you want to play, even If you think we may not want it as the #1 thing we want you to play. We'll still enjoy your playing pretty much any game anyway. Besides, you might just show us something we haven't heard of/thought we'd like.

I know SMRPG and SMB Wonder is getting all the hype right now, but I am so stoked for the new Dragon Quest Monsters game. It's one of the most consistently good monster-catching RPGs out there and playing as DQ4's antagonist Psaro is really interesting to me, as a long time fan of the series.

I haven’t been excited for a 2D Mario game since like, ever- I think I might be more excited for Wonder than I’ve ever been for a Mario game, for that art style alone. It’s a perfect translation of that 90’s promo art in 3D, looks incredible.

When the wonder...effect...is first shown, you can see the stone pipes in the background with glowing purple eyes. It's not as noticeable first time around, but details like that really help make this world stick out and not just feel like it's more green fields.
