To those who don’t understand why Pat’s Ursaring couldn’t become Blood Moon Ursaluna, it’s because Blood Moon Ursaluna was a one-off mutation in the game. Regular Ursaring can only evolve into regular Ursaluna. Ergo, Blood Moon isn’t considered an evolution. Think of it as similar to the Carbink and Diancie situation. A Carbink mutated into a Diancie, but regular Carbink do not have any mechanism to evolve into Diancie. Ergo, a Carbink remains a Carbink in these battles just as an Ursaluna stays a regular Ursaluna.

Barraskewda is definitely slept on when it comes to how much of a threat it can be. Base 123 Attack and 136 Speed is a devastating combination. Sure, it's got 60s everywhere else, but when you're outspeeding and OHKOing everything, they could be 0s in that case. Doesn't help that he gets Swift Swim on top of all this, making him even faster. He can even be used in a niche role in doubles with his hidden ability, which lets him ignore Rage Powder, Follow Me, and Storm Drain. He's also got great coverage with Crunch/Throat Chop, Close Combat, Drill Run, Psychic Fangs, Poison Jab, and even Scale Shot.

The RU tier in smogon this generation has pokémon like Moltres, Thundurus, Empoleon, Salamence, Gengar, Volcanion and Hoopa Unbound. It has never been this powerful before. Comfey was banned from that tier for being too powerful. It's an insanely good and scary pokémon because it gets tera blast to hit Steel types now and you can invest in HP + Defense to make it super bulky while still outspeeding everything. It's also fine without its regular ability because you get things like Leech seed/Encore/Taunt/Tailwind/U-turn and other tools. It was by far the best pokémon in the round he selected it

@@LucasF25 I used Comfey in a draft league recently. It was the finals MVP and shut down my opponent's Annihilape completely. I had Leech Seed/U-turn/Encore/Alluring Voice and was Natural Cure on it. It's true that the standard Calm Mind set, which is what you'd normally run, would be way worse without its ability, but you don't HAVE to run it that way. If I were pat, I would have just run Rocky Helmet to punish that Zapdos - not this Calm Mind set that's way worse with random abilities. I see what you're saying, though. It's a fantastiv ability, but you can still run it as a support because it gets a bunch of great moves.
