Ian Baker To be honest 9 strings have to be used very very cautiously you can't just go ahead and chug the lowest string as it will (as this video demonstrates) sound terrible. The metal guitarists nightmare is NOT an amp with no gain in it. Because that can be dealt with. But metal guitarists nightmare is an amp with horrendous gain (I.E. the fender frontman 10g)
@YngtchieMusic6 жыл бұрын
Or the kind of low gain where it's enough that it distorts the sound, but not enough to compress anything. A sound that's just incredibly difficult to play the widdly licks with, unless you're Guthrie Govan or similar. That's a lot more difficult to handle than a perfectly clean sound.
@Tom-gv7hc6 жыл бұрын
Aka the fender frontman... i used that thing for probably 2 years of my life and I havent realized until I went back after a year with a proper peavey 100w head and a 2x12 that you cant even palm mute on that thing

I would have given Rob an acoustic guitar, JC-120 combo and a Metal Zone pedal ...

Aside from the gonkulator ...I think I like the epi clean setup cap came up w.....conversely ......that monstrosity chappers got for cap is the winner for this lil contest ,and just horrible .....made for one type of niche genre alone is what I mean.

Rob Chapman fair enough chappers, dosent surprise me anyway, better than a Tube screamer and is one of the first pedals to be designed by an actual guitar player

Yes!!! Three different hats for Guitar, Amp, and Pedal. Then throw notes for ten pieces of awkward gear into each of the three hats. Then call in the All Stars: Pete, Rabea, Chappers, Cap, Matt, Ariel, & Mick. Lastly, make sweet beautiful music.

If y'all were wondering, a ring modulator is essentially a tremelo pedal with no shaping and it turns off and on at a frequency.

I feel like Epiphone with that Jazz amp sounds brilliant for Jazz. Very clean and tasty The guy who played it really played music that suits it. I think it would do pretty well in any jazz concert. That pedal tho...

That Schecter was absolutely ridiculous. Well done, Chappers!
