Waratar post / y stake is the New Zealand term for your tee stake.. 2 inch pipe with a handle on each side, steel cap welded at one end is used for driving them in. Very strong, used in gravel ground and soft as well. Our ones come with hole, for fencing wire to go through.. Cheers from NEW ZEALAND..

Very good information. I just bought some U-Posts for use with some Poultry wire fence. Thank you. Have a good day.

Thanks for the great first hand knowledge of T versus U. Was just getting ready to purchase the U style but I can see now I would of been very disappointed with their strength... You saved the day, or at least my day!

I've never heard in my 60 years of anyone driving a Tpost in with a rubber mallet

she's tougher than she looks if she replaced that whole fence in with the rubber mallet. most people would have given up on the 1sr one that's a lot of tapping standing on a ladder,

Thanks for this information. I was initially leaning towards U-posts but wow, those really got bent by the wind! Now I'm thinking about going with T-posts. I'm not sure yet, but at least I have some information (thanks to you!) to base an informed decision on. Thank you for your knowledge and experience!

I'm so sorry I didn't come across your video sooner. If i had.. i would have told you a "post driver" is the proper way to drive the t-post into the ground. It's 10x easier!

Thanks for your comment! Others suggested the same, so I purchased one. It was indeed easier!
