I Had A Nitrous Express Set Up On A 2001 Camaro LS1 6-Speed, A Simple 100 HP Dry Shot Straight Into The SLP Cold Air Intake, And The Factory ECU Handled It From There, And Hid The Bottle Where The Spare Tire Would Have Been. Even Replaced The Bosch Fuse/Relay Housing, With The Factory One For Cheater Status!

It's definitely a lower cost alternative to running boost but u should have the engine built to handle it of course. I knew a guy with a Acura that just put a 75 shot on his and it blew the motor quickly..lol But that's why I'm weighing my options . I've also heard of NOS shots that feed it gradual and not all at once also.

Assuming you have resources, what would be really cool if doable would be doing both direct port nitrous and direct port water/methanol on your turbo charged truck. Perhaps one set on the outside of the manifold and one underneath(hidden). If you gave your truck a 2 to 3 second shot of nitrous, just as your nitrous would shut off, your turbo would be delivering boost and the water/methanol system would continue to cool your intake charge and upping your octane.

Great video, can you touch up on what stages is in nitrous , i hear tuners saying that this system is a three stage 100 300 200 what does that mean

What it mean by stage each stage is its own solenoid and with its own separate horsepower rating. Stage 1 100. Stage 2 100 stage 3 100. Would equal 300 hp with all 3 kits lit.

Make sure you change plugs to a colder plug and not the iridium or whatever the new stuff is

Would you recommend a progressive controller on a 5sp? Not sure if its optimal to start the ramp every gear.

Ive heard of Nitrous systems that feed the Nitrous gradually and not all at once, s that true? I mean, if I decided to run Nitrous , I'd have it built to handle it and wouldn't run more than a 100 shot or so on it anyways, 125 tops, and build the engine with forged pistons and rods, and any hardware recommended by a machine shop to install for a reliable Nitrous build. Oh shit, my bad, u discussed it already with a progressive controller..lol ;)

This may seem like a dumb question and maybe it is But I cant learn if I don't ask. for a v8 engine Is there ANY amount of nitrous small enough that can be used without adding any fuel on a older set tuned ecu engine ( tuning cannot be changed ) that is safe to use for about 5 seconds ? Incase my Q is confusing I mean to spray ONLY nitrous with no extra fuel injected ?

Yea a 50 shot or 75 shot is pretty mild I’ve seen people run 100 shot on stock fuel system but if you’re gonna do that I recommend a wet shot not a dry shot dry shot definitely needs the extra fuel but you can get away with it with a small shot I just wouldn’t recommend it I run a dry kit 100-150 shot but my fuel system is good to 1500 hp

The EZ controller SUCKS it is no good at all! If you let out of it or change a gear it will reset back to what ever ramp time you set it at. its a crappy controller, save your money .
