Definitely like the smaller pins. I bought a hoyt powermax combo in January and learned on a 5 pin sight unfortunately. Recently purchased a single pin hha optimizer lite and it is insanely better and easier to use. Groups at 20 yards every arrow is touching and even some are going through fletchings of other arrows. At 40 yards I'm usually within .5 to an inch if that. Would never shoot another 5 pin sight even if it was the most expensive on the market. Are you still running what you had 2 years ago? I also have a powermax i bought 4years ago started to learn and put it down after six months. I just got it restrung last week and have gone out twice and ordered all the versions of old stock of the Hoyt Xceed sights to try. They have not arrived but I’m curious to try em all. What are your thoughts?

I have two bows and run .19 on one and .10 on the other. Both are trophy ridge react sights. IMO the .10 allows for greater accuracy and precision IF, you can maintain your composure through the shot instead of panicking when that tiny pin crosses the x. A lot of people get target panic with such a tiny pin and will punch the trigger early thinking it’s now or never. You can compensate in low light and/or reduce some panic by turning on your rheostat light if you have one. But I do agree the .19s are a great all purpose size.

what are your thoughts on that iq sight. I have the pro hunter and really like it. that retina lock really shows you how much your front hand torque matters. thanks for your videos they have helped me a lot. have you used the thrufire release yet? i'm thinking that my be my next purchase. just waitng for some reviews before i pull the trigger.

I run a axel five pin .10. Love that sight. I agree with the .19 but a light will alleviate the brightness issue..

Yeah not sure about other states but its illegal to hunt with a light on your sight in Oregon

Great video! I am looking for a new sight and I remember you saying in a previous video you were considering putting an option on you Mathews traverse. Just wondering if you did or did not. If so do you like it or should I just go with spit Hogg or black gold?

I have a spot hogg fast eddie xl with .19 pin, it can be very hard to see my pins sometimes in somewhat low light conditions. I bought a sight light from spothogg hoping that it would work in those situations, unfortunately it didnt help, ill turn it on and still wont be able to see my pins. Any recommendation, like a more powerful light kit perhaps that could fix this? Thanks in advance!

check out his video on peep sight lenses. You might need a verifier or clarifier peep sight lens to help clear up those pins

Have you found that running a larger pin (.019 vs .010) helps with target panic? My brain seems to relax with the larger pin covering more of the target even with some movement. With the small pin my brain seems to freak out and freeze my shot execution when it sees the pin not exactly in the middle.

With 0.1 pins, what about sight lights that allow for more brightness of the pins in low light conditions. Don't they mitigate some of the problems associated with 0.1 pins?

A small uv sight light will illuminate the fibre in the pins for sure. In some states of the USA any electronic device on a bow is illegal. I believe this is the case for Oregon where inside out precision are. Here in Aus I use an illuminated sight for shooting rabbits all night long haha.

Not sure what sight comes with that bow. .019 is pretty.much standard though

@@InsideOutPrecision as the similar sight in there website. Trophy Ridge 4-pin sight, to "joker" is the identical version. At .19

Spot Hogg will also retrofit different size or color pins in your current Hogg sight if you want to make a change. I’m an older guy, but new hunter that requires a verifier in my peep. Bought new bow and sight and guessed wrong (.029) on what pin size would work best. Thanks for the constant teaching you’re doing in these video’s, your efforts are much appreciated.
