I have tiny arthritic hands so I use a long plastic tube (water softener hose) pushed into the mouth hole that allows me to hold my larger G flute down near my lap at a better angle for my fingers.

I have purchased my first Spirit flute a month in the UK at Two Feathers in Brighton, the entire experience was an absolute nightmare. They were firstly closed when l arrived as they had a note on the door saying closed for an hour due to a broken glass, we returned for three hours when they eventually opened. I was told l couldn’t see the flutes l wanted to see as they were busy having a “ healing “ in the stockroom and l must phone beforehand when l come again, a lethargic approach for doing business. However, the following week l had to phone a day beforehand and listed flutes l wanted to see. I’m traveling all the way from London and was somewhat annoyed. Eventually when l arrived at the shop l was able to see most of the flutes l wanted to see but the staff knew absolutely nothing about these instruments so l was lost of what to choose. I purchased the Golden Eagle F in walnut. This was not the correct flute for me as a beginner. I will be returning to the UK in February and would like to purchase another Spirit Flute for a beginner and bring it back with me to South Africa. Is there any other outlet in the UK where l could view and purchase another flute besides Two Feathers? Thank you for your time.

I too just purchased a flute from Spirit Flutes. However before my purchase, I looked at some of the plethora of information on their site. In future, please know most of your concerns or questions can be answered in this way. That may save you some angst. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. 😣

@@annmarie9213 Yes l also did a lot of research, however it was not the flute that was the problem but more of the shop and staff from where l purchased it in the UK
