F♯ major was one of Chopin's favorite keys to compose in - I think the key of F♯ felt like a special place of peace and harmony to him. The simple melody provides the frame for complex ornamentation, with flowing runs and trills filling out the texture. The virtuosic middle section is a complete departure from what has come before, and transports us to another world entirely.

Thank you for doing these on the pieces. I love a little insight into the possible inspiration behind the piece, as well as generally learning a tiny bit of history that I find interest in. Really adds to everything you are already giving us with this beautiful interpretation

I noticed when switch between sections, like 1:19, on certain notes you suddenly switch the colors… is that something SeeMusic natively can do? Or is that manually switching to another layer in the video editor?

@@Henri.d.Olivoir Hello there Henri! I hope all is well... Yep, I'll be coming back to KZbin every once in a while... Again, there's a lot of work around here, but I hope I can overcome that and other problems, and consider starting my channel. :) Also, just watched your video on memorizing all 74 opuses, I think it's a good challenge; you didn't waste your/the viewer's time. I've personally used that to test myself whenever a WAY BETTER pianist plays something from Chopin (Etudes, I mean, and more technically difficult works); I'd recognize the tune but I take it a step further and try to recollect the Etude or type of work and Opus number, if provided. But yeah! Thanks for agreeing on me on that part; still learning music theory both for school and piano, and am eager to learn from/help others! --K10

@@K10-chopinetliszt WAIT! Just now I have seen your KZbin description! You're working on Chopin's Ballade No. 1 and Liszt's Transcendental Étude No. 1 for me? Oh, thank you so much, that's so sweet! I feel very very honored! I will definetely work very very much on 2 or 3 pieces for you!! I think Chopin really made amazing masterpieces with them!
