I rented a DVD of Choppers standup show like a decade ago. Mostly consisted of prison stories about getting stabbed or stabbing people. Some of the stories (which I think he told elsewhere) included getting stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver, stabbing an inmate in the anus with a shank, resulting in his anal webbing needing to be restitched, shoving a broom handle up another inmates bum, and mixing poo into an inmate's mashed potato. The DVD had a picture of chopper and the guy he was touring with (who I think was a retired footy player) wearing ray bands and holding meat cleavers. Can't remember what it was called though.

I want the Chopper dream sequence or Chopper in Wonderland. I could see him cooking Alice’s rabbit .

Comedy can be a way to break barriers and destroy stigma. Having a comedian talking about their ADHD diagnosis isn't necessarily narcissistic. Comedians who talk about their experience are using comedy to normalize things like neurological conditions or mental illness. They're trying to break the ice and show that they are human. In some cases it's also an invite to see the funny side of their conditions, and try and close the gap through mutual understanding. Thinking all comedy should just be observations and stupidity is a really shallow view.

Honestly do yas want me to come run the pod for ya I'll be like your off screen Jamie, we'll have links in the description, I'll keep you all on task so you don't spend an hour talking about the intro song, I'll time the endings properly and make sure the cameras and mics are aimed properly 😂

The “American confidence” I would say comes from the country’s emphasis on individualism. Whether it is factual or not, the end goal is to exercise their individual take or “freedom of speech.” In Australia, with our past as a penal colony under the British Empire, we have a somewhat complacent attitude and an apprehension to stick our heads up, which may explain the “tall poppy syndrome” phenomenon. And also Australia’s attitude of “giving a fair go” often can be expressed as giving someone else the chance to express themselves, at the expense of our opportunities for advancement.

Yo, can you just put a compressor on the whole pod audio. Make the attack super short, the ratio high and bring the level down so its all equal. Then bring the eq up by what you just compressed. I dont know how you fuck up the audio on a show thats audio based.

Nothing personal but don’t like the guests on the pod. Maybe make a seperate pod for guests.
@OnlyAchievingHere3 ай бұрын
Sometimes I don’t like it because the guests don’t suit the Jordies universe, but Heath seems a pretty good fit
