Chopping Corn and Hay Silage On The Same Day! Two Crops In One Day! (2024 Fall Harvest)

i used to LOVE when i could chop hay and corn at the same time. i would fill a load half full of hay then chop corn on top. what a nice blend in silos and bags. my dad years ago with a plate corn planter would throw a handful of sorghum sudan in each box when he planted corn for chopping. really turned out really nice.

I know this makes no sense but I think owning two choppers would make more sense than having one because you could use both use one for corn and the other for hay at the same time

It does. My brother is a dairy farmer and has three choppers. One for hay,one for corn, and a spare with no head on so it can quickly receive the hay or corn head.

2 questions - #1- Hows the field you rented doing? haven't seen any updates on it for awhile or I've missed them if you have.. #2- Not sure how this is spelled so I'm spelling it how it sounds to me.. What is noch-u-lent? what is it?? and why do you have to use it??
