Actually Mistress Hagan, the movie they're watching is "Attack of the Crab Monsters", a Roger Corman movie. And because Chopping Mall is a Concorde film, it too is a Corman production.

You may think of Johnny 5 when you think of robots looking like the Three Stooges; I have the misfortune of remembering the Robonic Stooges, egh. I like your memories better :o That one part at 13:40, tho'. I gotta say, I find that impressive... I imagine it's a stunt double, but all the same - lighting your actors on fire and have animatronics chasing them. Always a fun watch in my book :3 And... was part of that applause scene a part of that Birdemic? Or... maybe it wasn't. Damn, that was a horrible movie. Tho'... I've seen some pretty bad ones since th-no, no, I'll remain steadfast. That was a horrible movie. Oh wait, yes, yes that was Birdemic. H'oh h'oh. And a Left 4 Dead 2 reference, too? O' Mistress Hagan, you spoil us :3 Altho', to answer the question of if robots can be insulted to the point where they become oblivious to threats... probably not... calling an android a robot tho' , you might get a fair reaction o3o I do love the idea of this film, tho'... might look into it o3o

Even though this is a vile and Despicable eighties movie, it's kind of funny in a way especially with all the killing done by 3 out of control security robots, especially the blonde girl Who's down to her granny panties running from the robot if she gets her head blown off by its laser beam.

hm that robot design and the whole premise of that movie reminded me to "evolver" ... okay after a little researching ... if you call searching for trailers is 'research' i found out that "evolver" was later than "chopping mall" ^^ look it up, it cheesy mess of productplacements gone wrong, another toy went awol while using military stuff because its cheaper than actually develop stuff on thier own :D
