Chris and Michael are two of my favorite guitar players. Im still playing licks from both of their live in Japan solos. Especially Chris. I live his playing

@@awguitarroom8033 Thanks for pointing me in that direction. Have not listened to Chris in a while, but he has always been one of my favourite players. That solo was terrific!

I’d heard of the band, but had never heard the band. I’ll have to check them out further. Thanks again Dave.😊

Your channel is one of my favorite chord analysis EVER! I love Old Arch Enemy! And also the songs Carry the Cross was my favorite and another instrumental track from that same album which I will find and post here. Jeff Loomis is a Boss alongside Fredrick from Opeth now! The old vocalist and the female vocalist are both great and have different esthetic! Black Earth and Carry the Cross are my absolute favorite!! Also you should check the Band "Conquering Dystopia" Also that slide from G to F# ummm delicious. One thing I loved about old Arch Enemy was the shrill that sounded like a horse screeching was my favorite little ear candy I feel that Arch Enemy pulled of the best 👍🤘 Haha I laugh at the waking up the neighbor part haha. You should do an analysis of the Band Aghora - Formless (Album) is super liquid and super prog love it! I love all their albums!

Arch enemy is really cool. Thanks for the constant great lessons, David! 😊 A _Three Jeff Loomis Licks_ video would complete this very nicely. I learned some of Jato Unit years ago. But that whole album is crazy good.🤩

Wages of Sin was great, but I probably listened most to Doomsday Machine. That album really got me more into the heavy stuff. Chris Amott is underappreciated! Cool lesson as always!

You've been doing a great job this month ( i Mean not just this month, but...) I realize it is too late to do it in "metal month" but you should consider looking at or doing something for Rigor Mortis . Makie Scaccia..1st album 88...a shred horror/metal sorta thing. Really good stuff. Anyway....its been a good month, keep it up man!

And Sanctuary... I was going to suggest a Chris Amott TFA... Not sure how I missed it. Fun fact: My friend Joey Concepçion filled in for Jeff on an Arch Enemy tour and just filled in for Chris on the Dark Tranquillity tour. He just released a solo album... Keep an eye out for that kid 🤘🏾

Thank you! Great choice, I love the riffs from this band. Now you have got to cover Carcass too :) (as Michael Amott was in this band, obviously). I do think that the vocals of Arch Enemy are the weakest point. So much is added and changed during mixing and production (i.e. heavy layered) that it takes away a lot of authenticity. And live, she needs a back up tape...

Waste of Jeffs talent, I wish he would reinvent Nevermore or just go without vocals and do a Conquering Dystopia tour.. And anyone can sing through effects and sound like a demon, being a woman makes it no big thing..
