Very cool vid. I remember seeing Celtic Frost way back in the mid ‘80’s. They were fairly big back then in the underground thrash scene and could really tear it up. Didn’t know that Tom Warrior worked for H.R.Giger.

Love these guys , seen these guys To Mega Theron tour with Martin Ain. In Chicago at the Metro. Man unbelievably , but hours before the show we were there and right in front of the venue was the band in a green station wagon and they were broke down. No one was around and just us standing there. I walked over too the car and Tom asked me did I have , and I can’t remember exactly what he asked for like jumper cables or something , but I was like no man sorry. All 3 were sitting in the car and they didn’t look happy and I couldn’t believe the whole situation. I was a kid , in our teens but we drove there, maybe early 20’s ?? I graduated in 84 so that could be figured out how old we were. But till this day if I ever got a chance to see Tom I would ask him does he remember that. I remember feeling bad because we couldn’t help. Man still even now I remember looking in the car and them just sitting there. I even said hey to Martin because he was gone for a short period and I was glad he was back. R.I.P Martin Ain.

I thought we had the bus already, but in any case that was typical of that tour. The bus did die mid tour, and we finished the tour in a passenger van. The last date was the colossal NMS show at The Ritz (NYC) with MDC and others. Martin was chatting backstage with Glenn Danzig. What a summer
@jimyounger94902 күн бұрын
@ who the hell am I talking to ?? Is this seriously someone from the band ?? Man this would be absolutely incredible. Yes out in front of the venue and I think it was early afternoon. We would go to shows really early a lot. I don’t think anybody else was around. We were just hanging out and you guys were in this green station wagon. Do you ever remember a green station wagon ?? It freaked me out cuz we were there to see you guys and then seen ya in that car. And I felt so fucking bad because I couldn’t help. Like I wanted to help because it was you guys and I couldn’t. Don’t remember exactly what Tom asked for , but we didn’t have it. But it was definitely something to do with a ride. If i talking to one of you holy freaking shit. Never in a million years did I think it would be possible. lol , kinda like back then actually. Wow. Hey man. How ya doin ?? Still love Celtic Frost !!

@ wow , I’m blown away. Hey Reed. The show I’m referring to was just you guys at the Metro in Chicago. I don’t even think there was an opening act. I’m almost positive Tom was in the passenger front seat , and Martin was in the back seat because I stuck my head in the car and said hi to him. So you must have been in the driver seat. I don’t mean to bother you , but you have to understand from my point of view , that was a moment I never forgot. It happened so fast , after realizing I couldn’t help that was it. Said hi to Martin and walked away. We didn’t sit and chat , like I said I could tell Tom was pretty upset. Martin was in the back just chillin. But it was a really cool moment for me and to be speaking to you now yeah , maybe I’m a little star struck. Just because you were in that car that was a really awesome moment for me I never forget. So glad you responded and thanks a lot man. Now I have a second cool moment to that one what about 45 years later , lol. Thanks man and it was awesome talking to ya.

1990s Norwegian Black Metal (Mayhem, Darkthrone et al) was mostly shaped by a blend of Celtic Frost, Bathory, and Venom! Note: Burzum hated Venom, which added to the building tension that eventually ended in 2nd degree murder in Norway.

LATE NIGHT, come on man Celtic Frost is not a pioneer that band wished to be as good as the band named TROUBLE because they are classic 80s metal pioneers. Listen to the album SKULL that added doom rock with classic rock guitar solos and dual harmonies. Most people don't even know about the band TROUBLE .They have a good front man singer and good classic rock guitarists plus this band had to be an influence on metallica to make ride the lightning
@voronOsphere Жыл бұрын
Celtic Frost are 100% pioneering and totally original and influencial! Also, one can like and appreciate and make instructional guitar videos for both Celtic Frost and Trouble. ...Unless there is a law against it, that I never heard of.
