In the throes of addiction and withdrawl, all of these people may do awful things. In many cases to each other, while also being friends. Common sense, loyalty, self control are in very short supply. Simply, they have little to no control a lot of the time. I am not trying to make excuses, and some of them could be awful people, but the drugs/addiction are driving most of the behavior.

Mimi Mc yeah, that’s what they do out there, only the toughest survive, they’re always stealing from the weakest and beating them up, aka jumping them, it’s just the nature of the game and it’s the same the world over, it’s not personal and Raven knows it and it’s not just Ebony that will be doing that, they all do it, not because they’re bad but because they’re addicted to heavy duty drugs that they need. Raven will toughen up, she’s a strong girl. I’ve seen girls like her move up the ranks to become the toughest, aka the most violent out there and then nobody messes with them and they’re still the prettiest and get the most tricks.

Love your videos! I really admire the work you do, honestly. However, I see the point of giving her her money a little bit critical. Is there a way for you to keep her donations for now and save it for her in order to get the rehab money together? Or even use it for her food and health needs? I also agree with comments below stating that showing her receiving this money might seriously have an impact on her safety. I love that she is receiving support through your videos as awareness however it's probably safe ti say that she won't use it for anything else but heroin, mainly.

Sgr A* I think the intention can never be to rehabilitate addicts through monetary donations. The reason why people donate is - I think - to simply show love to those suffering and potentially extend their likely short lives. If you see someone on the street, or know someone who is suffering, the best in-person donations you can do would be that of food, water, and clothing. You see some of that here, but obviously the process is complicated with shipping.

These are smart ladies, they have to be, to stay alive, but please warn them (especially the young ones), to be cautious about men who claim they want to 'save them, and fix all their problems' so often they are Wolves in sheep's clothing. it would be amazing if she kept the note forever. i can imagine one day when shes sober and has everything together, finding that note again. thinking about myself in that situation and reading a note like that and remembering that period of my life and where i am now, would have me in all kinds of emotions.

I too and hopeful for that. Sometimes, it's that quiet moment of reflection that brings us to change. Maybe in a sober moment she reads a note and that becomes the catalyst of change. The comparison is obviously not of the same degree, but akin to someone who looks at an old photo and eventually sees what it is they want to change, it becomes the fuel that drives them to change. When high, she will lose this clarity of self and not gain perspective as long as her brain is wired to the least-resisting path of happiness/escape - a high. With her brain infatuated around that fix, it's almost a chicken and the egg concept - does the realisation come before the change or does change need to come before the realisation? That's something I think society and it's institutions aren't ready to deal with. For now, these actions are better than locking them up and or forgetting they exist, though, it still only perpetuates the problem. Action is needed that doesn't enable them as much as you need to enable them to be able to take action - the brain is the worst organ to go Trojan on you.

Unfortunately those who try to help with money are probably buying her drugs, a woman who can spend up to $500 a day on drugs and is homeless, has a priority problem and has become "comfortable" in her position. The homeless man (Bill) I tried to help over 10 years ago was walking by my shop today looking worse than ever said hi and Merry Christmas to me. He was surprised I remembered his name. I have helped people over the years but it's always been temporary the tough cases can only decide to help themselves.

It is frustrating to read comments saying that giving money is not the best idea, the lovely people who donate should be proud of what they do, don't knock them. 💛 There are some things that only cash can be used.
