All drug references were removed. KZbin no longer recommends my videos and daily people are unsubscribed that didn't do so on their own. I'm experimenting to determine if removing drug talk changes anything. I don't think so, but it's worth a try.
If you noticed with some recent homeless interviews I skip anyone's drug history. What's the sense of a channel if no one knows it? It's fun to chat, answer questions, etc.
KZbin used to promote my videos. Initially, all a creator had to worry about is not promoting or glorifying drugs, which I didn't. There was no need to. Now a creator isn't supposed to reference drugs, legal or otherwise, even if lets say a drug is legalized in a video where it was shot. Ultimately, KZbin decides what is permissible. I'm find with that, but the rules are constantly. KZbin promoted all my viral videos without any editing at the beginning.
I'm assuming my channel will continue to decline despite any changes. The good news is I was uploading the videos for my own use and never really counted on anyone subscribing or watching to begin with. I've never once asked someone to subscribe, share, give a thumbs up or comment. Four years ago I had over 7500 stalkers blocked. I'm not sure what the number is now because the blocked list is not accurate or up to date. This channel isn't related to a popularity contest of any kind. I plan on keeping that way and uploading videos of interests of mine.

She’s a drug addict. You can’t make someone stop doing drugs no matter how many times you put them in rehab. She’s on the streets because of drugs and still continued to use them. So sad. Addiction is the same today as it was in the 60's. I was hooked at 14... and it fell to more deterioration, lack of sleep and problems. Anyone can come out of it although the more harmful drugs and the low price make it more severe today. Took me 16 years to recover and live soberly. So at 30, I was immature as a young teen trying to learn how to live in a very hard world. Easy for me now, thank God. 43 years+

Tom you did a most professional interview without pushing her, hats off friend. I've been homeless a couple of times in my long life but for very short periods and while still having a job and car. She really did look wiped out and I wondered what happened to her chin. Just a week ago I had a day off and grabbed my metal detector, there was an old house I'd been wanting to detect for a long time and now signs were up that construction was about to begin and my chance gone forever. So I crept through some woods and came up to it and it looked perfect, but then I heard a voice, female. I stood there thinking, then shook my head and turned to leave. Suddenly a tiny young woman ran out onto the porch and asked if I was there to take pictures of the house. A tiny dog and a larger one came to greet me as well. I made small talk and tried to leave but she insisted I look at the inside of the house. I followed. It got really weird when she was showing me some shelves and old bottles and I got a creepy feeling and turned my head to see a young man sitting on a twin bed right behind me just smiling. I had no weapon, I'd forgotten my edc pocket knife. He got up and introduced himself and we shook hands. Then the young lady started showing me art she had painted. I told her the truth, that she was gifted and I'd buy one from her If I'd brought any money with me ( I always just bring ID ). She tried to give me one but I refused, telling her she could sell them. She said it was the best she could do with the few materials she had. They had no electricity and it was 95 at that point. The guy seemed very strange but she was so nice and sweet. I finally left and wished them luck, they didn't want me to do any detecting in the yard to draw attention and I understood. I left really bummed. No history discovered, only a young couple down on their luck in these hard times. A few days later I picked up some supplies for them while shopping for my son and I, I'm an old single dad. I vowed to go back the following week, this week, and give them a little help, not much but something. I pass by this location on my way to work and I ride a motorcycle most days. Going in yesterday morning, I spotted heavy equipment up by the house, my heart dropped. On the way home I stopped there, they were gone. Most of their stuff was still there. I stopped again today, no change and nobody had been there. It's Sunday so I guess the construction started end of last week, right after I met them. God only knows what happened to them and I just wish I knew that they were OK. So I got home and your video is the 1st thing I saw. Yes I'm very depressed, seeing this is just so terrible. The only silver lining in the dark cloud hanging over me right now is the kindness you showed this woman. God bless you friend.

It absolutely is , you just have to want it more than anything else in the world. It’s not easy but it is possible. I was homeless at one time also. I pray every day that I can make it through another day clean and sober. I struggle every day , working my butt off to make the rent ! I am disabled but I work anyway , I keep myself busy with my cleaning business . I’ve picked up hobbies , painting is one of them. I also write and sing. I actually released two albums years ago. Just not really into the music business anymore. It’s triggering to me. My sobriety means more to me today.

That’s so Sad and Terrible to hear that basically her life would never would have been known to many without this video! I am speechless! She was so kind, if anyone had Really cared I believe she would have made it! If you see someone like her in need, stick with them, you don’t have to go bankrupt to help someone, just be consistent and show up! Don’t give them a few dollars and forget them, I think if you show a person you care, it would change their outcome a lot better, imho. I’ve helped people, some were ready for help and some just didn’t at the moment but I never forgot them, I still check on some that are close to me!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I had to stop at 4:27... I just can't -- already started tearing up. May the AllFather bless her and forever torment and destroy those who've trespassed against her. Everyone needs to keep in mind that when it comes to the "Homeless," you just cannot catergorize them all under one label. There are different stages of being for them--which is too much to get into here & now, but in short, Penny was still in the beginning stages of her homelessness, meaning: she was still able to steer herself with an intact moral compass and has not yet lost herself in darkness as to stooping to committing serious felonies in order to get her "fix." Those who've gone too long in this process are ones who commit the latter mentioned type of offenses on a regular and become recidivists--there is, usually, no chance of saving them; however, in Penny's case--all she needed was for someone to believe in her and to actively pull her away from that predicament and to keep her out of it. The world was sadly, too little too late. I pray that she is in a better place now. :-(

If I didn't have a family that didn't turn their back on me, especially my mom, I would've been out there on the streets like her. Once I was recovered and back to working in the oilfield, I left the oilfield and I stayed with my mom when she got sick and helped her with doctor appointments and everyday life until she died recently. She never turned her back on me, so I was there for her. Now I will finally be trying to get a Fulltime job with my CDL. RIP Penny, its sad how this world can chew people up..especially women.

@@genefogarty5395 yes and no. 78 cents of every dollar is spent on admiration and contractors. 22 cents is spent of the homeless. It's like any business. The homeless industrial complex exits to make money for a few. It's meant to be permanent. There are several categories of the homeless and many are hopeless with mental and health problems and they eventually die on the street or in the woods or in vehicles. But there are working homeless who cannot afford rent or have had health issues and are just poor. I was homeless because of existing on SS. And not affording rent. I am with VA and got housing 3 months ago. Very lucky. In addition, living on the streets is very hard and will drive you into isolation and you may develop issues just from your situation. One can become. I always stayed away from the other homeless. Being poor is almost a crime in this country. And it exists for a reason. Saint Ronny reagan'closed the majority of mental hospitals to save taxes. Said community would do the job the job better of taking care of mentally ill. Also everytime his adult diaper overflowed we got trickle down economics. How s that working out?

Hello I did read everything that you spoke on under the description of video... I wanted to say that you are totally right when it comes to being yourself and doing what YOU like to do when it comes to your channel and who cares what anyone thinks... Its not a popularity contest... Though through the years your channel has seen a decline in popularity but only because of the content ... When you started up with interviewing people of all kinds from the streets and giving them a voice people listened... The content was raw and unfiltered... You were actually one of the first really bringing awareness and showing the darker ugly side of life(im talking 6 yrs ago)..... You didn't just get their story but you followed up on them and kept everyone updated. ... You made their life a part of your viewers... Love Your Videos.... There's other channels who are doing the same thing and their not being monetized for saying or referring to things.... I just noticed that they will mute the sound but not edit it out or use street lingo... I know you still do videos like the old days here and there, I just think if you did them like back in the day or update on ones you have already done to bring people curious of them back to the channel.... Bring awareness so they can get help.... Donations ... Or find family.... just a suggestion. ... I hope you always do what you love and keep the great content coming

Thanks. I started a channel to Chronicle my life. That's it. I have never once asked anyone to like, hit thumbs up or subscribe. It was never about creating a channel for others. KZbin makes or breaks a channel. Their philosophy changes. My type interviews with street people that use drugs or talk about them are no longer promoted. I haven't monetized a video in over a year. If you research channels like mine that have a change happen, there's really no way to get back to being recommended again. Thanks. I'm fine with it.
