Can anyone tell me how to wash the dish where sugar was melted? It's hard as a rock. Also, don't think your flan will cook in 8+10 minutes. It takes much longer.

Soak in hot water for a while and then wash. The baking time is 8 minutes plus 10 minutes.

Hey, I saw this and it looked delicious. So I tried it today. I basically made it for 3 people so I tripled the quantity mentioned here. Couple of mistakes I made: I did not strain it while pouring it into the cup and secondly, I did not add it in a boiling water vessel, instead I placed the mugs and then started the heat. Now it has been in the fridge for the last 14 hours but it still is not set. Could you please help me why?

You need to add it in a boiling water vessel (steamer- you can use idli steamer, that's what I use) ... That's how the egg will cook and set.... Hope you tried it again. It's a really yummy recipe.

Let the caramel cool and set, then pour in the pudding. Also, even if mixed, caramel will sink underneath, so it's okay.

Update.... it turned out that I was just impatient and I put it back on the stove and it solidified!!! I used a bigger container so it took about 45 min to set thank God. I can't to try it!!😁

When you say "Be careful not to bubble" what exactly do you mean? Like you don't want any bubbles at all or a few bubbles are ok, but not to many. Also how long did it take to make, and is it a easy recipe? I ask this because i know the power of editing :)

Mix gently so that it does not foam much. Also, the recipe is simple. I think it can be done in about 20 to 30 minutes from mixing the ingredients to baking. Cooling time is another.

Try maple syrup instead of vanilla essence. If you do not have one, please refer to the recipe for double caramel pudding or milk tea pudding.
