Choy Mok Kung Fu 蔡莫派 Demonstrations - Choy Mok Pai - Cai Mo Pai
--General Information:
The Style of Choy Mok is a combination of the Styles of Choy Gar and Mok Gar. The Style was founded by Liu Shizhong in th Repuplican Era who was born in 1897. Liu would start learn Choy Gar when he was 9 Years old.
When he was an adult he worked as a carpenter. After studying wih two masters, he started to look for a Mok Gar Master to learn from.
After learning Mok Gar for some years, he being proficent in both styles but havent reached mastery yet seeked out different teachers to complete his studies.
When he was 24 he met Zhang Wenyong who was a famous master at the time and a former scholar from Jiangxi Province. Its said that he had studied on Emei Mountain Martial Arts and Medical Skills for 8 years and became unbeatable. He also practiced Qimen Dunja which is a kind of fortune telling.
When he met with Liu he really liked him but he foresaw that it would take Liu another 4 years to become his student. But only if he was able to overcome a great obstacle.
Almost 4 years time Liu became friends with a man with the name of Cai Zhongkun. Cai was a captain of the Red Guards. Because of that he would follow him into many battles.
One time Cai would be captured by the enemy. Liu planed to help him escape by blowing up a prison wall. Yet the exlosive would go up while still in Lius hand making him loose his hand.
He survived the incident leaving his left arm badly injured.
After quitting the Red Guards, he remembered what Master Zhang said and looked for him. Zhang was surprised and happy to see him,finally acceptin him as his student.
He taught him his knowledge of Southern Shaolin and Emei Sect and also treated his left arm. Over time it became a very strong weapon for him.
After years of teaching Liu, Zhang told him that he was now good enough to establish his own sect. Liu returned to his hometown Jiazi in Lufeng,Guandong to study Daoism and finally forming Choy Mok Pai.
Liu was later known as "Three Legged Tiger"
