Choyong LC90 battery life and how to maximize it when using the receiver

My parents gave me a small radio for my fifth birthday and i became obsessed with it. I often ask to go to bed early just so i could lay there listening to whatever i could find,it was an AM, MW and SW Bush i think with a green vinyl casing which took HP11 batteries (C type). After about a year my dad,one hell of a DIY guy had in his shed four or five seriously old valve radios with had bakelite and wood casing. He asked me if I’d like one to which i obviously said yes. We lived in a 16th century cottage in the middle of a small village in the county of Leicestershire UK which still had the old two pin plug sockets dotted about the house and the radio used on of those. My dad had found one that would fit safely onto the shelf next to my bed and on that first night my life changed as it would pull in signals I’d never heard of before including number stations one of which was the fabled Lincolnshire Poacher. So even more hooked than before i spent hour after hour listening to this fabulous old piece of technology and have loved radio ever since..so seeing that this fantastic new bit of tech was on the market I’ve just ordered one as now I’ll be able to listen to stations throughout the world thanks to videos such as yours 🙌

I've already had the radio for a week and I'm really enjoying it, because I enjoy listening to FM where ATS has programmed 42 stations in my region and I enjoy listening to internet stations, where in Brazil alone more than 300 online radio stations have opened. I highlight the audio quality, the sound on FM and the Internet is wonderful, it's a pleasure to listen to. My interest is FM and online radio, where the LC 90 is excellent, innovative.

That is why I generally prefer pure analog receivers. Digital always have some "parasitic" power drain due to clock and memory functions. I have a collection of radios that need to be monitored frequently for battery level.

Welli dont understand how to get the radio to show indoor outdoor for the antenna my mw is the worst of any radio and i own 140 receivers. Thanks for all of your knowledge of radio. I have learned alot from you after 10 yrs. Of listening. RON Z. WS3090SWL.

When on MW you press de middle knob on the right your will see indoor flashing turn the knob while it is flashing it will switch from indoor to outdoor
