all sounds very good the problem is the social contract is dead imho that can only be fixed with a better economy
@kungfujoe21367 ай бұрын
twitter is eazy to fix just make 2 sorts (or 3) 1 is 100% free speach you see everything but not everyone can see you 2 is a nice version 3 is a woke version (would be intersting to see wich one of those gets bigger)
@kungfujoe21367 ай бұрын
trhe only way to fix this is social engineering

Great talk Liv! Also, just want to reinforce this point: very early in my AI/KZbin career i came up with the mantra "give everything away" and it has served me well. 142k subscribers in just over a year. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Yes! Above all we have to foster generosity. We believe one of the best ways to do that is raising awareness about fundamental emotional needs. If people know about them, they then realize why it is in their interest to help others and how to do so. If people don't have their fundamental emotional needs met, they WILL develop pathologies and become a burden or a danger to everyone.

I gave away all my fortune I made in my first bull run. To the point that became dependent on my wife. Amazingly, her love never flinched. Now I created an organization to foster prosocial behavior in society. We have a very effective way of doing so. Please consider interviewing me!

Creating a social media platform that is incentivized around long term well being is a billion dollar idea, that money is currently being left on the table. Sometimes all it takes is one person to show it is possible to do something differently than everyone else had previously thought was the only way to do things. Social media companies are not currently incentivized to make our own data transparent or easily accessible to us, but if someone were to come about and make that a normal expectation we might start to wonder what these tech giants are hiding from us (about ourselves).

This definitely goes on the list of "radically beneficial global projects" aka #WholesomeGarden , The list is currently curated manually, hope that soon it will be able to pull more automatically from ty comments and the open web, showcased, ranked, and developped openly and globally

1:32:45 Liv, scarcity and the scarcity mindset: You trained/schooled yourself INTO that mindset [and school/media/society]... you didn't train yourself out of that mindset.... it was "unlearning" the negative mindset. Scarcity is not a thing... abundance is. You were creating an abundance of scarcity and seeing it in others, as a threat, internalized.

52:04 reminds me of Ramanujan. If Chris ever does another large capital social experiment I'd suggest a program to find and call out hidden Ramanujans from the world and giving them leverage to execute their visions. Like a global scholarship for gifted individuals with a win-win mentality. A lot of us are living in not so prosperous environments, which makes it challenging to focus and execute on our bigger picture solutions. Another one that I've been liking for a while is the idea of sponsering/subsidizing flights for children. I recognize that one of the key contributers to an open mind and heart for others is travel, meeting other humans with different cultures, breaking mental assumptions and finding commonality and kindness between us. Global travel is so powerful it can even dissolve years of echo chambers. I hope to see a world where there are common non-profit public serving airports. The Moore's law of transportation. Would have incredibly positive ripple effects on society

Here's a thought: You can't have generosity (or deeper conversations for that matter) as soon as a critical mass of 5 people is exceeded. So the 'trick' would be to bring people together in small groups. Like mentoring.

Dear Liv, I really appreciate this channel, and resonate deeply with the topics you explore. I'm excited to participate in resolving some of these "upstream" society/mindset centered issues and change the way we play the games of consumerism (etc.). Do you know where I can participate in this movement? I enjoy taking this seriously, and would love to contribute to the meta-solution. Alignment is possible with compassionate creative questions. I hope new ways to collaborate will be ultimately even more fun than competition. (P.S. Scrolling through audacious project grantees now!)

It would be really interesting for you to interview Alfie Kohn. He wrote the book No Contest: The case against competition, with a lot of science to back it up. Whether or not you like comptetition, proper debate and research on the subject is the right thing to do.

Hey Liv , since empowering winwin involves studying and dissolving Moloch, I recommend you dig into The Merovingian ⚜️ The war against purple 💜 (name one purple superhero, name all the supervillains, Inside Out Pixar, Poisen Gas in Cosmos, Thanos, Ursula etc etc) the normalization of violence, psyops / weapons of mass distractions, the archetype of the musician making a contract with the devil 👿😈 (the only purple face emoji... not a coincidence). It's all a game of manipulation via mental associations, high frequency colors are either omitted or connotated to fear. I hope to get a chance to compile all the evidence i found and shed light on the mechanism, and turn real live siths into jedis . Thanks for who you are and for the inspiration you share, all the best 🌈

Please look up David Sloan Wilson. He has written many books and given many talks elaborating the evolutionary biology behind altruism. "Selfishness beats altruism within groups but altruistic groups beat selfish groups. Everything else is commentary" Also, look for the video about the superchicken experiment.

Thank you for listening Liv. I have spent the last 13 years of my life fully committed in every way to this purpose. One of my most effective methods is "spamming" comments under videos and on twitter etc to influencers like you. I'm sure I look like a nut, but I do succeed in spreading the word and it is absolutely necessary to do so. We are against 1.5 T dollars a year spent on fostering selfishness, greed and insecurity, to get people to buy products. That is what the advertising and marketing industries are doing. Among others, I'm pretty sure I inspired Jordan Peterson to add generosity as the end of the hero's journey. So, as a nobody, this strategy is effective. I hope to be a somebody someday, although then I probably will be too shy to act like an activist.
