I think they could've made it work, but they blew the reveal and the part where you actually have to deal with him sucks because he just bumps into all these objects and stares at you like a glitched NPC. His animations aren't seemless and the dev gave him nothing to do but stand around and go invisible, which I think is supposed to be him cloaking/uncloaking but it ends up looking like a glitch where his model disappears. There was effort put in, but bad execution will ruin a horror game faster than anything else.
