I actually really like the way Chris plays and the scales he uses. I really don’t think he is playing with no emotion. Just because he likes to play fast, doesn’t mean he is playing with no feeling in my opinion.

@@nunofrg that's just your opinion buddy.. I never said I hate Kiko! He's a wonderful guitarist/musician. I have much respect for him. And if Broderick wasn’t in superior level.. Dave would never choose Broderick beside him. Fact! (Tho, Mustaine puts Kiko at number 1 favourite guitarist in his list! Be cause he has some killer talents definitely!) Broderick is like a guitar playing robot to me. Be cause of Janic Gers, Dave Mustaine, Chris Broderick, Michael Amott, Alex Skolnick, Jeff Hanneman, Brian May, Kurt Cobain... I got the inspiration to play guitars! I can't disrespect them.. "Superior level" or none superior level doesn’t matters for me (at least)..it's just about skills & techniques! Tnx for sharing your opinion!

@@srrish666 broderick is amazing obviously, and he is a visionary in equipment (pick and he brought so much new ideas on how to build a guitar and its features). but kiko is better in every technique and feel. he is also a way better composer, just check his solo albums, truly masterpieces.

@@nunofrg yes I checked! Those are amazing tbh.. Yet I'll never throw Broderick. He fitted in Megadeth perfectly (for me, maybe not for everyone) I felt REALLY REALLY sad when I heard tht Broderick & Shawn Drover (drummer) left Megadeth together at the same day! Anyways, Broderick & Kiko... they're both equally amazing in my eyes! End of the topic. I'm not here to argue who's better than who.. Thank u

I have his 7 string USA model in trans white. Best guitar I’ve owned. My only complaint is it’s way to heavy and hurts after a while. A USA Jackson is gonna be different than an imported Indonesian Jackson. That’s how all these companies are. If you want the real thing, gotta spend the money. 90% of guitars are all made by 3 factories and the only difference in company name is design and quality control. It’s the same Koreans and Indonesians making schecter, Jackson, dean etc.

It's rather funny because they were in Nevermore together and Loomis tried out for Megadeth back in the late 80s. He would've gotten the job, but Mustaine thought he was too young at the time. Then years later, Broderick leaves Nevermore and gets a job with Megadeth.

Broderick is a very great musician, guitar player and personality. Besides the excellent knowledge of theory and crystal clean playing he respects his body and keeps it strong against the aging or against extra the difficulties of being on stage long time. It might be either for good looking whatever... I have always curious for Jason Newsted, Ulrich or other skinny musicians not interested about sports, gym etc. We read that Jason injured very bad just because to catch the falling amp. Maybe He could overcome with minor injury, I dont know..

I Love Chris’s playing, been listening to him since his days in Jag Panzer and Nevermore but I really don’t dig his lead sound here. It’s a fine rhythm tone but not for solos. It’s a bit to harsh and brittle and dry for my taste but to ea h his own. I’d like it with a bit more sustain and warmer and wetter more rounded and smooth cause he’s got such killer technique he really deserves a nice pleasing wet juicy tone ya m know smh

It looks like his guitar has an extra string? How has he even managed to put an extra string on his guitar? I'm just looking at my guitar I think if I even could put an extra string on it would make them to close together, unless he has very thin strings to allow for this.

You're ARE joking right? Lol Dude, it's a SEVEN string guitar. It was manufactured that way.

@@williamdistasio9358 seriously? But none of my cord books or any other of my other music books for that matter have anything about an extra string.. I guess there must be different books out there but omg having to start over again 😲 Im going to see if I can find any of my favourite player's using guiters with an extra string ☺ can you pick the extra string you want if so I'd have the little string at the bottom I love it when Clapton or jimi hendrix use that string 👍

Richard Williams seven string

@@richardwilliams2853 It's a seven string guitar, with the seventh being a low B string. There's a TON of music out there with seven string guitar. Vai was one of the earliest (if not THE guy IIRC), then Korn made it really popular. A bunch of nu metal bands used them in the late 90s and 2000s, but I didn't like many of those bands. However, check out Dream Theater's "Awake" album and Nevermore's "Dead Heart in a Dead World" for what seven string can do in the hands of amazing musicians. There's also a bunch of music out there with 8 string guitar: After The Burial (check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/b52ZZZR6q7yHrM0 to watch the late Justin Lowe shred a 9 string!) and Animals As Leaders. As far as you "picking" a string, you don't really have a choice. I suppose you could try, but a seven string guitar meant to have a low B string will be manufactured to accommodate that lower string; the bridge and nut will be properly made so that the string sits properly, as well as the pickup poles being properly centered, etc. I do remember seven strings like what you wanted: ones with a high A string, but they don't appear to have caught on. I think I remember Greg Howe using one, but I'm not certain. Anyway, good luck with your playing!

I like more how he does the rhythm guitars than the leads. Like someone already said, his solos sounds robotic. Although, i think he is a very good guitar player.
