All that Rob said is that Baker is entitled to feel the way he does. I agree with that. Chris is basically saying that this is business and Baker's production was the main problem, hence why they got Deshaun. Two things can be right at the same time. Yes, Baker did improve Cleveland to a certain point and he was injured but he is not an elite QB and the browns saw an opportunity. Baker is right to feel the way he does but he needs to acknowledge that his production was subpar to average at best..which could be seen as a reason why the coaching staff was in high turnover. But the argument could be made in the reverse. Like the Browns and Baker, both sides need to come to terms that there was mismanagement and poor production, Rob and Chris need to both acknowledge those factors as well.

In most professions when you lose your job you don't make public complaints so that every other potential employer can see how much of a PITA you are. You put your head down, put the work in and try to land that next job. You never trash the previous employer, especially when they did nothing wrong. He really should stop what he's doing and be a professional about this. He's not that good and the only teams that will take him are the ones that can't find someone better, not because they want Baker Mayfield.

The ironic thing is that I believe that he “felt disrespected” when the Browns were talking to Watson, so when they were initially out he tried to play hardball with them when they turned to him (a-la Kyler Murray). He probably thought it would make them increase their offer to him, and instead they upped their offer to Watson.
