Vietnam broke my gf & I up when I was sent to war. We dated all through a small town high school. I'm 1 yr older & gave her a promise ring in 1970 when she graduated from high school. I was already in college. 1 yr later I was drafted, & going to war. She thought she'd never see me again & it broke her heart. I told her to have a good life & just move on. I didn't think I would ever come back alive anyway. This song....I found in 2004. These words- are - were my word too . It took me 35 yrs to find her in 2005. This year, 2023, we've been married 17 years. She still had the promise ring I had given to her in 1970. Never give up on real true love.💞 This song has always been my words. I had not seen her since 1971. In 2005 I found her near Kansas City, Missouri.7 months later (2006) we were married, 14 hours after not having seen each other for 35 years. I would give anything to meet Chris & from the bottom of my heart, I would thank him for putting my words, my feelings, my heart into words. It brought us back together. This time forever. Thank you, Chris. For our life growing old together. 💑

When Chris Cagle debuted in the year 2000, the Nashville scene ate him up. His Southern-rock charm mixed well with his more traditional country radio fare, with Cagle even co-writing a majority of the songs himself (something that doesn't always happen in the Nash Vegas scene). Allegedly, his fans were so intense they dubbed themselves "Cagleheads." Yet in 2015, seemingly out of nowhere, Cagle announced that he was leaving the music industry for good to spend time with his family. The day after the announcement, he released an additional statement implying that it was the media who tainted his career with some "BS slants!!!" He goes on to lament that "Nobody in Nashville or media gave a s--- that I toured for the last couple years after I released Back In The Saddle!" He reportedly was making his way for a comeback in late 2018, but there's been no mention of him since. Hmm, wonder why the media isn't keen on reporting his latest news ...

I will always love him more then anything in this world. He is the best part of me besides my son. I am in love with this man more then I will ever admit to anyone because I don't think that they would understand that kind of love coming from someone of my age.

Now it’s August 2020 and I’m crying like a fool. Why does this shit hurt so bad? I took your name, had three kids with you, gave you all of me for 9 years. Just why?
@debbiesuesteele96394 жыл бұрын
@@alexisaldridge241 You know why it hurts, it hurts us because we, no matter what happens, have too much heart and soul; we are still human. It hurts us because we are open and vulnerable and we had hopes and believed in dreams and didn't doubt that one day it would happen. We didn't doubt them because we are honest and it didn't occur that to us that someone we loved could be false. Anais Nin once wrote "We don't see people how THEY are; we see them how WE ARE." Meaning honest people get deceived because we don't see dishonesty in others. You're wonderfully human. Give yourself a hug. Now, rid yourself of the kids for a day, have a bubble bath, some tea or a cocktail. Eat some good food, buy yourself a treat. You'll find life gets better and you have the emotional fortitude to survive. 🤣🙃
