@Vaeren2224 жыл бұрын
I understand that this isn't his best performance but if you're a singer you'll get why he's struggling. Try singing this yourself. For me it doesn't matter if this performance wasn't good because of the respect I have for him as an artist and singer. We all know he has been singing with one of the best vocals of all time for 20 years. It doesn't matter that it's not perfect. Remember, the voice wears down with age and especially when singing in this style. Rest In Peace Chris Cornell. Forever legend.

R.I.P Chris.

This excellent performance from chris goes to show you don't have to be perfectly on pitch (albeit i bet most can't reach the range of those notes in the chorus AND add grit simultaneously!) to wow the crowd with personality, energy, and rocking fucking roll man. Theres nothing like the true humanistic honest qualities in live music. Chris was surely one of kind in that realm. The world is a darker place without him!

He sounds very good considering what he's put his voice through over the years, obviously his voice has quite a bit of wear-and-tear. The sound engineer should've turned his mic down slightly though, so that his vocals sat better in the mix.

Everything you think is 'better' about these guys is exactly what RATM/Audioslave do brilliantly and is what is missing here i.e not sounding schooled and 'trained' etc etc. Anyone can train themselves but what really moves people is individuality and literally 'soulpower' - which no one can copy, hence this sounds sterile. Just listen to Rick Rubin describing why he suggested Brad to play for Sabbath, it sums up exactly what is so special about him and Rage
