I live in New Mexico, a border state. In my 40 plus years here, People I know and myself have yet to meet immigrant or a migrant with bad intentions. Why is it only red states are having issues? We don’t. I’m still waiting to hear why the GOP disregarded the border bill. In the meantime, I will assume it was due to Trump. He wanted something to run on!

Me, neither. I don't know how anyone could trust him about anything he says. He is possibly the world's most prolific liar. The surprising thing is that he really sucks at it. I think even some people who support him know that he's lying a lot of the time, but they choose to ignore it because they like him. That's a concept I have a hard time understanding. Or rather, I don't understand it with some people. I have right wing relatives who are extremely devoted Christians who call out people's sins all of the time. They are very intractible sometimes even if something is more like a "little white white lie" because lying is a sin. They are very critical of people they view as too secular. Then trump came along, and they make excuses for literally everything he's said and done. I guarantee that if I would have said something about walking in on teenage pageant girls when they were undressed, or told someone that when you're rich you can grab women by the you know what, they would have gone berserk. But, since they think Trump is amazing and they're fully committed to voting for him, he probably could get away with shooting someone on 5th avenue and they would say that the victim deserved it. It's very frustrating.

I made $12-15 an hour in cash in the year 2011 by working as a server and not claiming tips. The question is whether a 21-year-old who carries food around should have made that much (in 2011 dollars) without being taxed. I'd argue the answer is no. I really wish someone would pass a law that connects minimum wage increases to an anti-tipping mentality so I'm not being asked by Subway to pay its employees fairly.
