Paderborn were 3 friendlies in after 8 days in Austria. Would have been a big learning curve for youngsters.

We lost 4 - 1away at Crewe before the 2009 season, ended up finishing 9th in the Premier league that season, pre season friendly, don't panic

The Blues played against a very good side and made Blues look very ordinary indeed! but there is another couple of good sides to play so we shall see if the Blues can get better!

Look, we were terrible. But, that's not what its really about in pre season. Look st the positives, some good game time for youngsters and also there was parts in the game where we played well, comfortable in possession and passed accurately with quick tempo. All we need to do is keep working on that so that we do these segments more often, tighten up the defense and then the results will follow. Just hope morale stays high because ultimately this result means nothing. In 5 years you won't look back to today, it's insignificant.

We were playing a counter-press in a pre-season game where the players would have been told not to go all out. You can't really not go all out and have a successful counter-press.

It's all about fitness at the moment. I thought Allsops passing was very good. Fogarty, Hansson, Anderson, Mawzi and Khela looked decent. Defensively we were being caught on the counter attack. The defence hasn't really played much together and didn't function as a cohesive unit. There was a lot of kids playing versus a good side so I wouldn't read too much into the result. The one aspect that did disappoint was the lack of goal threat.

It was a difficult watch. There were some positives. Some really nice passing, but certainly need to see some more patterns of play. It was a lot of side ways passes and not enough of those great diagonal balls that we saw a few times. Sanderson impressed me in that regard, but defensively, it was pretty woeful. Cedit to the opposition. Their 5th was a wonderfully worked goal. It wasn't about winning today or playing the best football ever. It was about seeing who was composed and doing the right things. The next team selection I expect will be a starting 11 that looks more like what Davies considers his strongest. Noteably, I thought James had some good attacking moments. If he's staying here. Then he has got to be involed in the attacking build up far more. Alsop looks very assured with the ball at his feet. Donovan looked a spark at the start of the game. Hannson had moments, and you can see his ability, he just needed some better service at times. Blues tempo was decent at times, just not the quality we are after just yet. For some of the youth team it's their first exposure to mens 1st team football. We arent going to see the end product after the first match. I expect many more signings to be coming imminently. KRO!

We have heard it all before, FFS we are a league 1 team does he really think we can get the players to keep the ball ? It usually means plenty of injuries for us playing like that, 4-4-2 would work better. Every bloody young coach thinks he’s Pep without the players

People saying it's all about fitness. Have to disagree. It's about fitness, learning to play with new team members and the squad learning to play a new system. Always disappointing to lose, especially by a big margin, but given where we are atm, one has to be realistic. If we are getting battered at home to a League one lower table team at the back end of the season, then we may have cause for concern! lol Stay Forever True to the Royal Blue! 💙💙🤍KRO🤍💙💙
