The 2nd album I heard from Chris. The first one was "Man on the Line". I became a fan from the very first songs I heard from him. Since 1985 when I heard his songs for the first time, no other singer/band has come even close to the place of his music in my heart... Not even the great SIA, or Michael Jackson, or BeeGees. ❤️

Back in 1987, i was invited by the BSA as International Staff for that year's summer camps, South Plains Council and Lbbck Tx was the City so after the first week " Staff Week" preparing everything in CW Post so on the weekend we went back to Lubbock and the Family that hosted me showed me the room I was going to use to sleep that night, Super tired i went to sleep and during the night I was waking up listening to that nice tune on the FM for me was like that song was snuggling me, playing diff times during my night when I was waking up I was hearing the chorus and the song " Lady in Red " I got up asking for that song and i Bought the cassette Into the Light that's how I meet Chris's Music and still one of my favorite Singers, Greetings from Mexico.

I was I introduced to Chris De Burgh by my Father, he made me a cassette copy from vinyl. I loved the hiss and crackle of old records. Hearing this 30+ years later it evokes emotions in me more than it ever did before, as this trilogy means more in this day and age than it did to me as a child who knew very little about this world. Even more so for Rosanna, which actually bought tears to my eyes, as a Father myself now. Chris is an incredible songwriter. And even though I am an atheist, I love all the Bible references, thry work so well in his songs, and even though I am not religious I have a deep respect for those who are.

Inspired by the Apocalypse (Chris has visited the Cave of the Apocalypse on Patmos isle, Greece), but still a timeless song triggering both the head (thinking) & the heart (emotion). I was introduced to Chris De Burgh songs by my Step Father who loved your music. I've always loved music and open to alternative music I've not discovered but more often can quickly not connect with it. However your music instantly resonated with me and although for a large period of my life I remember the lyrics to literally thousands of songs and always sing along to them but never zoned in to messages that the words can carry within them. I listened to music but did not hear it. I was blind in the past as they say but now I see. Your songs have blessed me with many profound messages and pathways of discovery to open up to and explore. I'm now Spiritually enlightened and your music has been hugely significant in that journey. Don't pay the Ferryman for example, seeking to know Who? Why? Where? the belief of the passing over between Life and Death required a boat journey & money to pay for it. Later in life recalling that in Movies many Ancient Civilisations placed coins on the eyes on the dead confirming their belief in the Ferryman. Further still when I met my girlfriend who loves Music too and feels the power of it, one night I spoke of your Music and mentioned a few song titles and the story they tell. She hadn't discovered your music & wasn't aware of the Ferryman story. I explained it and how the Ancients gave coins to their dead too. My girlfriend is a Nurse & spent many hours involved in Theatre during extensive Surgery lasting for many hours. She told me that every patient when they are brought out of their Anaesthetised state talks about being on a boat journey. They never remember afterwards though. The Ferryman story was confirmed and the existence of a Soul within us too. The patients body being synthetically kept alive, heavily sedated & only breathing under life support equipment comfuses the Soul we are dead and our soul goes on its journey. When we are brought back around our Soul is pulled back into us but is conscious of the journey thus we become conscious of it and tell the boat story. It blew my mind! Changed my life too. Connected me to my Soul and to our source or God. Thankyou eternally for your music and it's power. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse song and the Leader Trilogy just reminded me of where your music channeled me and I wanted to express my ultimate gratitude

Chris is my Uncle. I'm from Dublin. I remember when he played a huge run of back to back dates in Dublin at the RDS in 1989 I think it was. I must have gone to at least 4 of these gigs, and this trilogy was always amazing live. Those were such brilliant shows. Chris, Jeff, Danny, Al, Glen and Ian were magic together. They were ridiculously tight. They're on YT, live in Dublin.
So many years since I’ve heard this but can still remember every word... amazing
