It has been said that you can't go back in time, but I just did thanks to this video! This was from early 1989 during my senior year in high school. I was watching this with 2 girls who were best friends, both of whom I was crushing on at the same time. Of course, nothing happened between us or I wouldn't have been paying attention to MTV enough to remember it so well.

Chris turned grunge, and I don't know what the fuck's wrong with Geoff... as awful as it seems to say it, but good riddance...

Special times, used to get high as balls and watch this show, for three blissful hours, I did not have a care in the world!😀😀😀

Dude, I was right there with you. It would be so cool if they’d bring it back. Getting high as balls without it, just ain’t the same anymore. They should play everything from 80’s to today’s Metal. Ahh, who am I kidding? It would never be the same. We’ll never be able to replicate those days again. We were so young and carefree. Coming home after partying on Saturday night, raiding the refrigerator, doing bong hits in the garage, and watching the Ball. Nope, never again but I’m not sad because I was there, enjoying every moment of it.👊🤘

It weird that them 2 are no longer in the band.

Seems like they did a pretty good job considering that was probably improv. Thanks for posting! Brought back memories.

Not that awkward for anyone that watched that in real time.

Operation Mindcrime is the shit!!! All these years later and I still have the CD in my car’s stereo. I blast it so loud I don’t know how my windows haven’t blown out!! Next week, I’m getting the Queensryche insignia tattooed on my arm!! I can’t wait! Also seeing Geoff and his OM band in Ft. Lauderdale in September with backstage passes and, of course, front row seats!!! I am so excited!! I do miss Chris and Geoff together. They were mind blowing. But, Geoff is my main man!!

Geoff reminds me of Michael Keaton here for some reason.

I played around with the tracking and this is the best I could get. All tapes recorded from that VCR have problems.

@@dino.manzella thanks for sharing! That noise bar is easy to deal with considering this is probably the only way we're going to see these old MTV videos. I have a lot of the Heavy Metal Mania shows on VHS and they're still in good condition. Thanks again!

I was at the concert in Landover at the Capital Centre for that tour. Great show, but my earplugs were not confiscated at the door.

Where's Chris now???
@cryptojihadi2653 жыл бұрын
Flying corporate jets and playing guitar every now and then for his daughter. There's a video out there if him playing guitar for her in some coffee house! Can you even imagine walking into a coffee shop and seeing Chris strumming on a guitar while some young girl is singing some songs?!

@@cryptojihadi265 Thanx!!! Yeah, I heard he's a pilot now, but didn't know about his daughter. Anyway, hope the best for him.
